"Hey," said the brunette boy, he got up out of his chair and started towards me. I involuntary backed up a few steps, though he didn't notice as he took my hand in his. He gave me a warm smile which made me relax a little more, why was I reacting to him like this?

I always had it in my head that most, practically all guys are either jerks or players and I was right most of the time, though for some reason the boy in front of me didn't appear that way. He gently pulled me over to the table where he pulled out my chair for me. A gentlemen he seemed to be, that's a good first impression, right?

"Delaney right?" he asked me. I couldn't help but notice the same blue green eyes that he had greeted Ace and I with only a couple hours ago. "I'm Josh, though you probably already know that."

"Umm, yeah," I stated, awkardly. What was I supposed to say to this boy who I barely knew but am supposedly going on a date with? Well, I guess I should just start with getting to know him. I mean, is this whole "relationship" ever going to go anywhere, if it even was one in the first place.

He chuckled," You don't have to be nervous around me ya know."

Nervous? No, that was the exact opposite of what I was thinking. More on the terms of what to do when your best friend sets up with someone you don't know terms.

"Nervous?" I told him," No, more like wary."

"Yeah, I know my good looks and charm is more than some girls can handle."

"Cocky much?" I asked him, boy this was going to be interesting.

"Nope." he said popping the p. "Just amazing and adorable. Oh and by the way I totally saw you checking out my eyes like five minutes ago."

My eyes widened, he saw that? And here I was thinking I was being all sneaky and stuff around him. I did laugh at him though, his cockiness and my personality would not match at all.

"Adorable, no, amazing, possibly." I told him, matching his smile with my own.

"Possibly?" he asked me, a smirk coming onto his lips," I bet you by the end of the night I'll have you all over me and googly eyed for me."

"In your dreams, boy." I told him, patting his shoulder. Like I would fall for a guy like him. The last time that happened it did not end well for either me or the boy.

"And for your information, I'm not one of those girls who go all gaga over a cute guy, okay? I'm one of those girls who will break your arm if you try to make a move on me at all." I told him, though it didn't seem to faze him at all, if anything make him more of a flirt around me as it is.

"Hmm...feisty, I like it." he told me smirking, his cockiness wafting around him like fire.

Who did this boy think he is? A celebrity? A-a-a ok I couldn't think of anything else right now, but he's a lot of things.

"Ooo stupid I don't like it." I told him, my annoyance coming out right about now.

He laughed and smiled at me, and not one of those cute, innocent boyish smiles, one of those you'll fall in love with me soon smiles. Gentlemen? I was wrong, more like a player.

After he was done making fun of me and laughing our waitress walked in. She was blonde with brown highlights and was carrying a small notepad and a pen.

"Hi, my name is Sabrina and I'll be your waitress today. Are there any appetizers you guys would like to start with?"

Josh turned his head to side, cocking his neck and raising his eyebrows at me, signafying me to talk. The boy couldn't have at least the decency to tell me he wanted me to talk? I can tell already that this "relationship" was going nowhere.
