it's always been you.
i didn't dare shout,
not when her whispers
were always louder than me,
and even though i hadn't dared,
i'm human,
sometimes i wonder, what if i had?
would the words have fallen to deaf ears or would you have actually listened
perhaps pondering over that is pointless
as pointless as i am to you
so i ask myself from time
to time
to time
if i'm living to see the day you realise it's always been me
the one that stayed
or am i waiting for the day
i'll realise,
it was never you,
it's always been me
i'm the one i should love.
