                                                                     "c h r i s t m a s   r e w i n d"

These six girls spent most of their days, working.

Thoughts of escaping to a new place always pondered on their minds.

Except for one girl, who wanted to be free from Santa's Secret Bakery, shop.

"It's snowing," she looked up at the sky as a snowflaked descended onto her cheek and cooled her skin as she sighs dusting off the excess snow from the gazebo above the cafe. Meanwhile, back at the station, the aroma of coffee and donuts fill the air in this hectic environment of criminals and cops. She locked the cell that had the cat burglar's leader and asked, "Aren't you tired of selling knock-offs?" The young woman sucked her teeth without answering as she walks away. "It won't be like this next Christmas!" She finally spoke out behind the cell bars and kicked it with her combat's heel.

The young police officer shook her head and sat down at her desk picking a blue ink pen and made a drum beat to kill time as she watched the clock on the wall. Other the hand, the public's park were occupied with families and friends, as young lady sits on the bench with two children she was paid to look after. Obviously, she still believes her salary isn't enough to tolerate a crying kid and scolding glares from the other child. "I'll have to go job hunting again, after this month finishes it's all back to the basics for me," the babysitter thought to herself as opens a box juices and gave them to the children to shut up.

Roads weren't clear, traffic was too tight as usually. Not many spaces to squeeze through to get access to the current customer, she was trying to delivered meals, too. With headache worsening and blood circulation wasn't getting to her fingers as the tips of it got numb in the cold. She observed her surroundings one more time and rode through the sidewalks as individuals and couples fled from each other to give her room to pass with her motorcycle and food deliveries turning into a corner as she drove into a building's entrance shattering the glass door while she yelled, "Delivery for Shawn Porter! Two roasted beef and vegetable noodles with soy sauce and two pepsis...!"  Employees and visitors were on the ground or hiding behind their counter for safety. "Who the hell is Shawn Porter? For crying out loud, man!" She hissed.

An older man in his thirties appeared to be shaking and handed her the cash answering, "I -I- I- I am, I am Shawn Porter, how much do I own you?" He asked. The Chinese restaurant delivery driver told him, "$40.95, sir." He watched her like what the? "Just pay the bill, man," she added. Once she collected the cash, she made a 360 turn and rode out through the broken door onto the pavement and then the road. "Man! People can't be on time just collect a ridiculous Chinese meal. Wow!" She shook her head and drove to her workplace. On the sidewalk were a few hungry customers waiting at a common food truck get served by the owner's assistant while she and helper cooked their takeout foods. "I need hot dog slice for this bun with lettuces, tomatoes and pickles with turkey barbecue sauce, now!" she ordered. "Can you do that, Donny?" She questioned as she glanced at her cousin. "Yes cou! Give me a sec." Her cousin responded fix up their special on the house, the turkey sauce semi-veggie bun. "Here you go!" She gave to it to her as she inspected it and closed the case before handing it to the customer. After a long morning and noon hours of working, evening arrived and customer service had lightened a bit as she decided to close up the food truck and head home as she thought, 'It was good today. We made lots of sales and great profit.' The food truck owner walked down the street and passed a young lady finishing up the decorations for the cafe shop. She stepped off the stool and observed her hard work, "Tomorrow, I'll put up some red ribbons to add a touch of spark," the cafe decorator spoke to herself and then head inside for a warm of hot cocoa. While she made herself a mug of cocoa, she heads to the Christmas carols coming from the back alley behind the cafe shop. She followed it and exiting the cafe shop's back door in the alley way and walking in the direction of the music. When she saw five young girls about her age doing the same thing as she heard a voice in her thoughts telling her to continue going after the carols until she and the other girls appeared in front of a bakery.

                                                                       "What is this place?"

Was a question that rang through their minds.

The other girl was trapped in Santa's Secret Bakery,
