"v o i c e o f r e a s o n"
She stood at the window's edge and sighed looking at the snowing sky.
Her tears flow down her cheeks and hits the floor, transforming into mint candies.
Who was this young woman? As she sang along with the Christmas carols being played.
"Christmas Eve! Christmas Eve!" the elves rushed over towards her, holding mini-monitors showing the six girls doing their jobs. She, who was known throughout the land as the Voice of Christmas, "Reason," answered, "Yes elves, what is it?" Santa's senior elf, came forth and spoke, "Are you sure your picks for Christmas Foodie Race Tournament can beat the other seasonal competitors?"
Christmas Eve smirked as she left the window walked through them into the bakery's customer area which was empty. She heard their footsteps following her as she ceases in movement and then responded, "Jackson, darling. These young ladies have a blood line of racers in their family. Surely, they will learn as they drive the different theme tracks in the challenge. Just watch, we'll win this year." She smiled as she finished and then thought to herself, 'I'll be free from this place before Santa knows it.' Christmas Eve left them entering the old British clock door stepping into Rudolph's amusement park. "Ooh...I love the sound of sugar apples and caramel buns," she moaned and went straight to the food court. Where she met Jack Frost and Mr. Snow, who was actually a snowman with a carrot nose. She would normally bite out of it and teased him for his eaten nose. "Isn't is Frosty or what? Snowy poodle," Christmas Eve teased with a mischievous smile. Both of them stopped their conservation and looked at her.
"Hello, Christmas Eve. Still Santa's favourite pet?" Jack smirked sarcastically.
Despite the rude question she still gave him and Mr. Snow a hug and replied, "Yes I am, at least I don't melt every summer or go into hiding in Antarctic. No offense Mr. Snow." Mr. Snow shrugged at her.
"Your remarks are always lovely, as your minty breath," Mr. Snow added and handed her a carrot stick. "If you don't want cavities eat healthy, honey."
Christmas Eve frowned, "Of course, few pounds of weight." She watched Mr. Snow smiled turned upside down and smiled and then at Jack, who was upset. "Anyways I can't stay to have a cup tea with you guys."
"It's no problem at all, Christmas Eve. You were always busy since they day Santa Claus introduced you as his daughter," Jack said. "Adopted daughter...." he whispered softly into her ear and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "You know it's true, Christmas Eve. One day, you'll want to find out who your real parents are."
She shoved his arms off and stepped back and screamed, "Jack Frost!" the jelly and jams volcano started to erupt while the ice cracked beneath them a little. "Santa Claus is my one and only father! I remember that, Frosty..........!" Christmas Eve stormed off to the site, where her father was supervising the entrance for the racing tournament.
"I will expose her, who she really is," Jack gritted his teeth and clenched his fist as watched her disappeared into the building.
Mr. Snow shook his head, "Jack, let it go. You know you can't mess around with the big guy's daughter."
"Shut up! I won't get caught by anyone," Jack said harshly and walked away.
Mr. Snow thought, 'You don't know that for sure.' He didn't answer. But followed his friend.
Other the hand, Santa Claus was about to have his regular hot cocoa tea in his office. When Christmas Eve arrived and smiled, "Daddy! Happy to see me?" Santa spat out his liquid in his mouth by shock and breathed, "Eve V! Why can't you knock before you enter?" He asked and then sighed with smile. "Come and sit on my lap, sweetie." She did just that and pouted, "So....?"
Santa laughed, "Of course, I'm happy to see you. How was your day at the bakery? Have any of your customers arrive for the racing event." She nodded, "Nope not yet, but they're on there way, Daddy. We going to win this tournament as planned." Santa felt saddened by her excitement, "The winner gets to make a wish at the Christmas Spirit Oracle, when you win what will you ask for, Eve V?" He questioned.
Christmas Eve smirked and she lied, "Another Christmas year to be spent with you giving gifts to good boys and girls."
Santa smiled and hugged her, "Such a good heart. I'm sure the elders will be even prouder of you. Just like your mother and I."
About to answer him, a bell watch jiggled as she saw on the screen the six girls all entered the secret bakery at once, "They're here, Papa! The chosen girls, who are going to compete for our race. I better go."
Santa Claus looked at her as she got off his lap and ran out of his office waving at him goodbye with a smile, "There she goes......When she makes her own wish, I'll be gone from her life. I can't let that happen, I bribe the other teams if I have too. Tomorrow is the beginning of the event I doubt I'll have time stop them all. But if Jack's team can get the job done." From that hour, Santa Claus made a call to Jack Frost and paid him to sabotage the tournament and for his accomplishment. His daughter would take Jack's hand in marriage in order to give him a share within the North Pole to control.
