I wake up, expecting the feel of a cold and lonely house, but instead I heard shouting???? Oh yea! I'm at Alfred's and Matthew's house. I stood up wanting to find where Alfred was yelling. Slowly but surely, I followed the noise into what I guess is his bedroom.
"Alfie?" I asked, hoping that I'm not just talking to the air.
"Alfie? Is that supposed to be my nickname?!" His loud voice responded. I heard footsteps come towards me.
"What were you doing? Your screaming woke me up."
"Really? I'm sorry! I was just playing a really scary game!" I could hear his voice slightly shaking. I laughed on the inside. Isn't he the hero? What hero is afraid of games? "Anyway," Alfie interrupted my thoughts. "Today Matthew and I have to go to a meeting.... but we don't want to leave you here at the house. Both of us agree, which is rare, that we should bring you with us!"
A meeting? "S-sure.... what's the meeting for?" That means a lot of new people...
"Well, how do I explain this? Hmmmm. Have you heard of the country representatives?"
"Yea..." Sadie used to fangirl about them when ever they were on the news.
"Perfect! This will be easier to explain then! I am the representative of America, Matthew is the representative of Canada, and Arthur is the representative of England. We are going to a world meeting where all the representatives will be there discussing world matters."
...Now I see why Sadie was mad at me... She always went on about how she loved the country America. I never really listened 'cause I didn't care. "Oh... well I guess that makes sense..."
"What did you say?"
"Oh! I said this should be fun. But are you sure they will be okay with it?" They all sound pretty high up to me. I'm just middle class while these guys probably live in luxury.
"They will! Some of them are quite friendly!"
Well... this will be an experience...
*time skip brought to you by Norway's troll*
I was very nervous. Would any of them even like me? Or will they hate me like all my other friends? Will they laugh at me because I'm blind? Or maybe they will just ignore me as if I'm not even there...
"(Y/n)?" Matthew asked with concern. "You were kind of spacing out. Are you okay?"
"Oh! Sorry! I'm just a little nervous is all."
"It'll be fine!" Alfie yelled and wrapped his arms around my shoulder, which made me blush deeply. I tilted my head towards the ground so he wouldn't see my face. "I'm the hero! So there is no need to be nervous!" I chuckled slightly at that, and confidently walked in with him. When we entered a room, there was absolute chaos.
There was yelling just about everywhere and noises I couldn't identify like "Kol". What's a kol? All the noises freaked me out. I couldn't tell one from the other, meaning I couldn't tell where anyone was. I was about to freak and run out of the room when Alfie grabbed my hand and lead me somewhere.
"Ah... Al..." I stuttered. I know that my face was as red as a beet. Suddenly, I could pick out a familiar British accent along with one that I presumed was French. They were yelling at each other.
"Black sheep of Europe! Black sheep of Europe!" The Frenchman taunted.
"I am not you frog!"
"Hey!" I chimed in. There was no way someone could pick on one of my friends without me butting in. I guess that's a trait I kept from when I could still see. "Arthur is really nice! Don't you dare be mean to him!" They both shut up and I could feel eyes on me. "Uh... Sorry... it's just that... Arthur is really nice to me and I don't believe that he is a black sheep of anything."
"(Y-Y/n)..." Arthur stuttered. "Thanks..."
"Oh! And who is this lovely lady?" A hand randomly grabbed mine. I know it wasn't Alfie's because this one was much more hairy. Then I felt someone bring my hand up then kiss my knuckles. I yelped. "Hm? Ma cherie? Are you so embarrassed that you can't even look at me? Honhonhonhonhon!"
Some one grabbed my shoulders and pulled me away from the Frenchman. "Dude! France! Stay away from (y/n)! And try to be considerate! She's blind." I blushed and looked down. I know he's trying to help, but I could feel even more eyes look my way.
"Oh... I'm sorry ma cherie."
"I-it's fine! You didn't know."
It was silent for a little until a loud, stern voice asked loudly. "America? Vhy did jou bring a human into a meeting?!"
"Woah dude! Calm down Germany! There is no way the hero could leave (y/n) at my house all by herself!"
"Oh! She was at your house, hm?" France asked with a suggestive tone.
"What?! NO! I was just helping her because she has no one to watch or help her."
"It doesn't matter! Zhere is a meeting zhat is being delayed! Now all of jou! Go sit down so ve can start zhe meeting!" Everyone quickly went to sit down and I was put down between who knows who.
The meeting went by rather quickly because I could tell that no one wanted to work other than Germany. Once the meeting was concluded with Alfie going on about a hero that could make food out of thin air, I tried to find out who I was sitting by. I turned to my right and asked out, "Hi... may I ask who I was sitting by during the meeting?"
After a second or two, someone responded in a deep Russian accent. "You are sitting next to me, Russia."
"Oh. Well hello Russia! Nice to meet you!"
I could feel a few stares burning my skin, but I was confused as to why. "Nice to meet you too."
"Well.... I'm going to go meet some of the other people... so bye! Have a good day."
"Bye! I'll see you later, da?"
I giggled. "Sure!" I waited until I could no longer hear him, then turned to my left.
"Um... Hello?" I asked. Maybe the person here left already? God, I'd look so stupid for just talking to no one!
"Ah, herro."
"There is someone sitting by me!" I chuckled lightly. "Hello sir. I'm (Y/n)."
"I'm Japan. It is very nice to meet you."
"Japan? So, I'm not trying to be racist or anything, but do you like anime or manga?" I hope that he doesn't think I'm being rude.
"Ah! Yes, I do. I rearry rove anime and mangas. Do you?"
"Yes! I used to watch animes until I couldn't keep my eyes open before I went blind. Now I'm only able to listen to the voices."
"That is very unfortunate..."
"Yea, it-"
"Ve~ Japan!" A loud voice yelled out before I could finish my sentence. "Oh! You're (y/n) aren't you?" Before I could even respond, he engulfed me in a hug. "You are so cute!"
My face immediately heated up. "Uh... t-thanks." I was finally freed from the random man's grip when Germany walked over to us. "Itlay! Jou fell asleep during zhe meeting again!"
"Ah! I'm sorry! It's just that it was so boring and there was an interesting butterfly outside. Oh! But then I started thinking about pasta!" He began to just go on and on about random things until I finally excused myself from the conversation.
I could hear Arthur talking to someone, so I made my way over to him. I did bump into a few people on the way, but they were really nice. Especially the one named Finland. Eventually I got to Arthur.
"Hello (Y/n). Um... thanks for standing up for me earlier."
I laughed lightly. "It's no problem. No one can treat my friends that way and get away with it!"
"Dude! That like totally makes you a mini hero!" Alfie butted in.
"Hm? Well... I guess so."
"America! It's rude to just butt into others conversations." Arthur yelled.
Aflie then laughed obnoxiously. "You're just jealous that (y/n) is a hero and you aren't!"
They bickered as I silently laughed. After a while Matthew walked over and told us it was getting late. We said our goodbyes and left the building to go to Aflie's car.
...Everyone was so nice to me today. If any of them hated me, I couldn't tell.
"(Y/n)! Wasn't that fun!"
"Yea!" I smiled brightly. "Some of the most fun I've had in the past year." At that, Alfie was quiet then muttered something. "What?"
"S-same here."
I smiled then leaned back on the car seat. Everything is looking up!
