A few years in the past...
"Jungkook, you should find a girlfriend at some point. Our time to be in this band is coming to an end, we're growing up." What Jin was saying was hitting home for me.
"Why does it have to end?" I asked him, "I love being with you guys, I don't want us to get separated." Jin offered me a smile and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry, after our contracts end we'll still all be together. We're like a family."
He pulled me into a hug and I couldn't help but cry.
These have been the best years of my life, why do they have to end so suddenly?
Jin softly stroked my hair, soothing my sobbing until I was only sniffling.
"It'll all be okay in the end," He assured me. I looked him in the eye and smiled slightly.
"Come on, let's go out to eat. That'll cheer you up, won't it?" I nodded excitedly and followed him out the door.
I'll miss these dorms, I'll even miss cleaning them and fighting over who does what job. I never realized just how priceless these years were until now.
Jin and I walked a little ways down the bright street to one of my favorite restaurants.
He always knows just how to make me feel better.
He told the waiter at the front that it was just us, and we got a booth by the window. My favorite spot.
"Can I order for you? I want to surprise you with what you get." Jin seemed to think about what I'd said for a moment before he smiled and nodded.
"You know what I like, so I'll trust you." He chuckled and I grinned. I ordered for both of us whenever our waitress, Jiyeon, came and asked what we wanted to eat and drink.
"Thank you," I said quietly once the waitress walked away.
"For what?"
"For always making me feel better. You're going to make a wonderful father someday." He gave me a soft smile and waved a hand as if to say "Oh stop it."
We talked for a little while as we waited for our food. I wished it could stay like this forever. I glanced around and saw someone sitting a little ways away from us.
She was talking to a girl sitting across the table from her, probably her friend. She smiled and I felt a little flutter in the bottom of my stomach.
She's beautiful...
Jin must've noticed me looking past him and turned to look at the girl. When he looked back at me, he had a huge smile on his face.
"Have your eye on that one? She's very pretty, I don't blame you." I looked down at my hands and felt my face get hot.
"I'm going to go say hi," He said, starting to stand from the booth. I quickly looked up at him.
"No don't!" He didn't listen and kept going towards her. I decided to go ahead and follow him.
We approached her table and the two girls looked up at us.
"Hello," Jin greeted, offering them a bright smile. The girl I'd been looking at had a shocked look on her face.
"Jin? Jungkook?" She questioned. She seemed out of breath.
"Ah you already know who we are. Are you a fan?" She nodded. Her friend looked pretty surprised too, but didn't seem quite as excited as she did.
"Could I get your names?" Jin politely asked.
"I'm ______, and this is my friend Miyoung." I couldn't help but to keep looking at ______. Miyoung was pretty too, don't get me wrong. It was simply that ______ was so attracting, her smile, her laugh, her voice. I wanted her to be mine.
