After a while everyone had said their goodbyes and good nights, and you went to your place while they went to there's. At least you thought that's what would happen.
Jimin gently grabbed your hand before you could start walking in the direction of your apartment.
"Will you stay at the dorm tonight?" You smiled and nodded. Of course you wanted to. Jimin smiled sweetly in return and you followed him to walk with all of them.
The entire time you guys were walking you were laughing and messing with each other, all eight of you.
You noticed Jungkook seemed a lot happier than earlier, and you couldn't help but smile. Eventually you all got to the dorm, and almost immediately Jungkook asked you a question.
"Did Jimin convince you?" You stood still and looked at him. All the other guys had gone their way throughout the dorm and you two stood close to the doorway.
"Did he convince me of what?" You asked. Jungkook had a sad smile on his face.
"Did he convince you he was better than me before I got a chance?" You were taken aback by his question.
"N-No, I'm not making any judgments without talking to you both yet.." You didn't know how to respond, so that was the best you could do.
Somehow, Jungkook's smile was starting to grow on you more. He was starting to get to you, without actually trying.
"Oh okay, that's good. I don't think I'll be able to prove I'm better, but I'll try." He offered you a big smile that warmed your heart to the very core. You couldn't help but smile as well.
"You're already winning in a way," You mumbled softly. You could tell he heard you, but he pretended not to.
"I know it's getting late, but can we go for a walk?" He asked you. You nodded and the two of you started walking outside in the night.
Jungkook sighed and casually slid his hands in his pockets.
"I'll admit something," He finally spoke after a long silence. You looked over at him.
"I've always felt that Jimin is better than me, in way more ways than one. I try, but I still feel like I don't really compare."
You couldn't help but feel completely surprised.
"Really?" He nodded and looked a little uneasy.
"Yeah," He whispered. He'd gone quiet all the sudden. You looked at him for a good moment.
"You should have more faith in yourself Jungkook," You stated firmly. You saw him glance at you from the corner of your eye. There was a slight hint of a smile when he did it too.
"You think so?" He kicked a stay leaf that was laying on the ground.
"I know so," You responded, smiling brightly at him. He truly was probably the most attractive person you had ever seen, so the fact he doubted himself made you realize something.
He will always put himself second.
You stopped walking for a moment to enjoy the breeze, and he stopped and looked back at you.
"What should we do tomorrow?" Jungkook softly spoke.
"Anything we feel like doing." You couldn't help but smile when he spoke softly. It was really cute to you.
"That could mean a lot, but alright." He looked up at the starry sky. You felt like he honestly looked good at every angle, he had no bad side.
"It's pretty isn't it?" He mumbled.
"Yeah, it is." You were both quiet for a little while. He was more standoffish than Jimin was, more reserved. He didn't feel the need to fill up the empty spaces in your conversations, but he didn't need to.
The silence wasn't awkward, it wasn't heavy, it was just there.
This isn't even the date and he's already convincing me to choose him without even trying.
