Riza replied simply, ''But he said he was treating him right, so we shouldn't be too concerned right?''. ''And you believe him?...'', ''No, But I don't want to exactly pressure Edward into telling me... I'm just hoping he can trust to go to us, if they are having problems.'' Riza said seeing Jean sigh, ''You have a point...'' Jean said speaking again. ''But.... To be honest.... I just have a really bad feeling... I don't know why but... I do. The Chief's been in a bad mood lately, so he may take it out on the kid if he says the wrong thing...'' Jean said seeing Riza raise a brow at him. ''Havoc, The Colonel knows better than to raise a hand to anyone, let alone a child.'', ''I don't know Lieutenant... Something tells me otherwise...'' Jean said with Riza getting serious, ''Well if he ever does... He won't know what hit him.'' Riza warned. ''I'll see you later Al.'' The small alchemist said with a smile seeing the suit of armor nod, ''I'll see you back later on than?", ''Yeah, The Colonel wanted to talk about something.'', ''Alright, see you later.'' Al said watching as his brother left. ''You wanted to see me?'' Edward asked in his usual tone when walking inside Roy's office to see he was piled in paperwork, ''Maybe I should come back later...'', ''Get over here Fullmetal.'' Roy ordered making Edward tense up at his superior's tone. ''If you're going to be so bitchy about your paperwork, than I should just go-'', ''Didn't you hear me Fullmetal!'' Roy said hinting he was in a worse mood than usual making Edward weary about talking back to him since he knew how he got. The small alchemist mustered up some courage to speak up, ''No! I'm not a dog! You can't keep treating me like this Roy!-!'' Edward said but stopped, his golden eyes widening in surprise when he felt a pain in his cheek, realizing he had drawn blood out. Edward was at a loss for words when realizing the Flame Alchemist rose a hand to him putting a hand to his marked cheek making Roy realize what he had done, ''I-I... Fullmetal I apologize, I didn't mean to...'' He attempted to say. Roy saw Edward turned to him with an angered expression balling his metal fist, ''I'm sorry, my stress got the best of me-'', ''I hate you! I wish the worst on you!'' The small alchemist screamed pushing Roy roughly and storming off. Roy stood quiet feeling horrible at what he did, with Riza walking down the hallway seeing Edward run towards her, ''Edward? What's wrong-?'' She asked but stopped when Edward hugged her tightly feeling his face in her chest. ''Edward.... I saw blood... Look at me...'' She said feeling Edward shake his head, ''Edward... Please look at me.'' She said seeing the small alchemist in tears with a visible mark and bruise on his cheek and blood down the corner of his mouth. ''Edward....Did the Colonel lay a hand on you...'' She said instantly angering but held it in when Edward hugged her again, putting her arms around the small alchemist in a motherly way brushing off that her uniform had gotten blood on it, humming a small lullaby to soothe the trembling blonde.
