Sophie glittered into view of the pastures of Havenfield where Grady was struggling to get a grip on Verdi, their resident dinosaur. "Need a hand Grady?" Sophie called. Grady turned around to see her swinging around her school satchel in boredom. "Nah. I got this. Go inside you got a sleepover to prepare, and oh! Edaline's inside making Custard Bursts." Sophie giggled muttering, "Well it sure doesn't look like it." But at the sudden mention of Custard Bursts...she raced for the doors.
Grady chuckled, turning back toward Verdi where he nearly got swung into Silveny's old enclosure of glittery poop. Reminiscing the day Sophie shyly stepped in the doorway of Havenfield as the only brown-eyed elf. She hated being the center of attention. She hated it all. Though Grady mostly despised that Sencen boy. He sighed. Though he had to admit and agree with Della she had grown up to be a heart breaker. She had soft blond hair in the form of 'princess blond curls,' a creamy complexion, a slender figure and hot cocoa colored eyes. (Okay enough about her appearance! We got it!)
After she munched on a few Custard Bursts, Sophie dragged her feet up the stairs and went to her spectral mirror.
Vertina came into view. "Wow...you look a lot like Jolie." she breathed. "I get that a lot." she said thinking of her adoptive parents. "Well I don't have time for this chit-chat. Biana's expecting me at Everglen soon. She didn't even give me that much time to pack!" Vertina sighed. "I guess I could help you with a new look." Sophie tried not to let the words 'new look' bother her.
The obnoxious spectral mirror demanded her to pull on a 'simple' red tunic. Sophie laughed darkly. By simple clothing, Vertina meant a fluffy red tunic with black roses in intricate embroidery paired with a black satin sash and leggings and flats.
She didn't know how but Vertina somehow persuaded her to wear jewelry. Now how did that happen? She forced her to play along with the red parade. She ended up with earrings that flickered and changed color when the sun hit the light. From red to florescent orange. It reminded her too much of the everblaze that killed Jolie, Kenric and five other pyrokinetics. But, she decided not to let her fear get the best of her.
But what did get the best of her was Vertina squealing, "Yay! Time for the make up." "NO! No make up!" Vertina's excitement died down drastically and she mumbled, "Can you at least do me a favor?" "Fine. What favor?" Her eyes then flashed with mischief and glee but to Sophie, she looked downright evil. She realized her mistake to late. "Some lip gloss please." she told her as if she were a waitress. Knowing there would be consequences if she decided otherwise, she trudged her feet over the flower-weaved carpet and fetched the box of edible lip gloss Biana had given her on her level two midterm.
"A clear coat!" Vertina squealed. Sophie followed obediently clearly upset. But when she looked at the clock on her night stand, she nearly screamed.
In ten minutes she had to arrive at Everglen or else....Sophie did not take her time to choose a blue night gown and a plain white tunic with leggings and a pair of plain flats. She stuffed them in and bidding her farewells to Vertina, Grady and Edaline, she leaped away.
A.N: So this is my first fanfic, please don't hate me! I'm still young (inner Sakura: she's not that young) to go through all this hatred. Please like or comment on the bottom and no hard feelings for other ships (Even though I'm personally rooting for Sophitz).~Sakura
