The odd couple sat in silence until Ivy pulled away in a hurry and came to her feet.

"I guess it fell through. Should have known the circus freak would go back." Ivy didn't seem all that dissapointed. "Mr. J must sling a mean dick because that chick is 10 shades of fucked up. She was supposed to bring him an hour ago we had a plan to take down Batman. A lead to his real identity."

She stood up and leaned against the wall with her back towards Bane. He couldn't help but look at her body. The curves, her pale skin, her flowing red hair. An ass that could make a grown man weep. He hated that he didn't hate her. Seven years ago she was it for him, she was the real deal, or atleast he thought she was.

"That was a waste of my time. Seems to be a reoccurring theme with you." Bane rose from the ground.

"Oh what else did you have to do, bleed all over the place?" Ivy retorted.

"If you'd stop being a god damn bitch for one minute maybe you'd have a reliable friend who could-" Bane realized he'd backed her against the wall and he gathered himself.

Despite his anger and rage towards everything and everyone, he would never hurt a woman. Ivy didn't budge. She just stared at him.

"Well, maybe it's time I make friends." She finally said after an eternity of staring. "Wanna come back to my house and have a drink? The alcohol will help because I'm gonna need to stitch  that up." She smiled a sweet smile for once.

"I'm not one to pass on booze, but I'll pass. Besides, it's already clotted. See ya in another few years, Ivy." Bane went to walk away, but was caught by a small hand.

"Wait, what if I promise the best series of Margaritas you've ever had and if you get too drunk you can take the guest room?." She almost pleaded which wasn't Iin her nature.

"Sorry, I've got things to do." He cleared his throat and walked away. She grabbed his hand and pulled harder one last time.

"Please.." It was a whisper that screamed out several different emotions that all seemed to punch Bane in the face.

"Fine."

They walked 4 blocks to her home. It was about 3AM and as tired as they were, they could both use a drink.
