Ch 4

I sat down comfortably on the nightstand with my legs crossed as I waited for Jungkook to get back. I still feel a little bit afraid of him even though he made it very clear that he doesn't want to harm me. Yet I can't do anything but feel frightened knowing that at any point, he could easily crush me even with the smallest amount of strength because now, being as tiny as I am, my body has become much more fragile. I wait patiently in his room for a few minutes until I can hear footsteps coming back up the stairs. I knew it was Jungkook because all of the other members had already gone to bed a few minutes ago, so I didn't have much to worry about yet. As I heard his footsteps coming closer, I looked up at the doorway and saw him slowly and quietly walking back into the room with a full glass of water and a small straw in his hands. When he was back in the bedroom, he closed the door behind him and turned around to see me still sitting with my legs crisscrossed and waiting for his return. He smiled widely and happily walked back over to the nightstand. He stood in front of me and crouched back down to my level while letting out a big sigh. "What's wrong?" I asked as I heard how worried his sigh sounded. "I just got a bit nervous of leaving you alone because I thought that you would try to run away and I wouldn't see you again." He said looking down with a hint of sadness in his voice. "Hey, I promised I would stay here didn't I?" I said while smiling at how sweet and innocent he was being. He looked back up at me and gave a kind and warm smile. "Yeah but some people don't keep their promises. I'm glad you did though." I smiled back at him and tried to take in a deep breath but got caught off by more of my coughing. "Oh yeah, I'm so sorry, I forgot that you needed water. Here" he said while picking the glass of water back up and putting the small straw in it, then holding it up for me to take a drink. I began drinking the water without hesitation and started to feel my mouth and throat go back to normal while my thirst was slowly being quenched. After a few seconds of taking huge gulps of water, which actually wasn't much, I finished drinking the very much needed water and took the straw out of my mouth. "Better?" I wiped off some of the water that got on my face and took a few deep breaths. "Yeah, much better. Thank you Jungkook" "No problem 'y-y/...n' " he said while mimicking my voice jokingly. I laughed a bit and rolled my eyes at him playfully. I guess we got used to each other pretty quickly. It feels nice having someone to joke around with since I never had any friends to joke with due to my shyness, which had now mysteriously disappeared since I started talking to Jungkook, even if I was extremely small now. I was quickly brought back to reality as we both yawned at the same time, to which we soon laughed at. "I was just about to ask if you were tired but I guess the yawn answered my question." He said while laughing again. "Hey, you yawned too" I sassily said back while laughing along."Whatever".

He then stood up and began to stretch his back a bit while squeezing his eyes shut and making weird noises. I can't help but once again feel uneasy as I look up at how tall he is, and I quickly look away. If I feel like this while I'm sitting on his nightstand, that's a little less than half of his height, then how would I feel if I was sitting on the floor while looking up at him. I shivered a bit while imagining how tall he would be from my point of view. "Y/n, what's wrong? Every time I stand back up you start to frown and look away from me. You also start shivering. Am I scaring you again?" He asked innocently while looking down at me with a concerned face and crouched back down to me. "No, it's just that I start to feel a bit uneasy when I see how tall you actually are compared to me. It's pretty intimidating to see how everyone around me seems like giants from my perspective now." I said while trying to cover the fear in my voice, but clearly fail. "Don't worry, I'll protect you from all of those bad giants." He said while putting his hand over my entire body and got into a defensive pose."Pabo, when I said everyone seems like a giant, that includes you." I said while chuckling and trying to push his hand off of me. Jungkook took his hand off of me and gave me an innocent expression. "But I'm not a bad giant, I'm your protector. And your not supposed to feel intimidated by your protector, or be afraid of them." He stated while pointing his finger at me. "I can't help it, that's just how I see and react to things." "Fine, but at least try to be normal if I'm standing in front of you." He said while slightly pouting. "Ok, I'll try, but don't expect me to get used to it anytime soon." I said while pointing my own finger back at him. "M'kay". Junkook then stood back up and held his hand out flat in front of me while looking down at me with an expecting look. I only sat there with my head cocked to the side while looking at him questioningly. "Get on" he said while gesturing to his hand. "Why?" I asked confusedly. "You weren't planning on sleeping on my nightstand were you?" Kookie said with some sarcasm. "Well actually yeah, I kinda was." I said up to him with a straight face. "Well too bad, as your protector, I'm going to make sure that you're safe and comfortable, so get on." I rolled my eyes and slowly stood up and walked to his hand, but hesitated a bit to get on until Jungkook gently pushed me onto his hand by using the other.

I sat up straight on his hand while he walked back to his bed and got in first, then placed me gently on the pillow next to his. "If you need anything, just wake me up." He said while pulling the covers over both of us. "Try to get as much sleep as you can. Tomorrow, we have to explain all of this to the other members." He said a little too calmly. "WHAT?!" I screamed at him. "Why do you want to tell them? What if they don't react as well as you did?" I asked worriedly. "They're my hyungs and I can't keep a secret from them. Besides, if you're living here under the same roof as them, don't you think they have the right to know if there's someone else living with us? And don't worry, they're most likely going to think that you're either really cool or super adorable. I think both." He said with his bunny smile. "I guess we'll just figure out in the morning then?" I asked with uneasiness in my voice. "Yep, now get some sleep, your gonna need it. Goodnight y/n~" he said while switching himself to sleep on his side that faced away from me. "Goodnight Jungkook" I said while switching myself to my side, closing my eyes, and drifting off to sleep.
