Crack!

A bullet whizzed passed her head.

"Shit." Adel swore under her breath.

Fuckin' Raiders. She tried to stay clear of all Raiders as much as possible. Adel has seen what they've done to settlements, a person alone would be a treat for them. She swung her Rifle off her back and ducked behind a tree. Leaning out Adel spotted three Raiders on the top floor of what was once a two-story house. She knew there would be more around the base of the house. The best part? They were all aimed directly at Adel.

She looked down around her feet. Rocks. She picked one up and chucked it to the right. Immediently all their guns trailed on the spot where the rock hit. The oldest trick in the book but what the hell. It worked. Leaning out again she trailed her rifle at the Raider to the far right.

Fire.

Direct hit.

Then came the chaos. Two Raiders surrounded Adel, one with a Flammer the other with a knife. Adel dove at the Raider that was the closest and the safest. The Raider, a women, raised her knife meaning to slash Adel's throat but she was to quick. Adel smashed the butt of her rifle into the Raiders face and then released a few rounds into the womens chest. The knife flew into the air, Adel caught it by the blade and through it directly into the Flammers forehead. She graded the knife and all the ammo the two bodies had and looked around, shoving the knife into her boot.

Keeping low to the ground, Adel snuck around to the base of the house. The decaying old house smelled of mold and rotting flesh. She entered the house, trying to be as silent as possible. Judging from the heavy foot steps coming from above, they already knew she was in the house. Pulling her tattered ski mask lower down on her face, she went silently through the bottom floor.

She came to the kitchen first. The Kitchen, including the gapping hole in the wall, the cage with the rotting corpse, and graffiti, was completely empty. When Adel spotted the fridge she nearly dropped her rifle. Food! She dashed to the fridge and yanked it open. Insta-Mash, beans, and Sugar Bombs. SUGAR BOMBS!!! Adel practically melted thinking about eating those delicious Sugar Bombs. She grabbed everything, stuffing the Insta-Mash and Sugar Bombs in her pack and scarfed down the beans. She walked from the kitchen licking her fingers. The only other room down stairs was a bathroom. All in all the bottom floor was empty

.

As Adel approached the stairs she heard a beep. She looked down.

"Of fuckin' course." She muttered to herself as she glowered at the land mine at the base of the stairs.

Being as light on her feet as possible, she tip-toed up to the land mine. She picked it up.

Beep!

Beep!

Beep!

Beep!

"Fuck!"

Adel chucked it out the window and dove for the floor.

BOOOOOMMMM!!!

The explosion was earth shattering. Still a little shaken from the explosion, Adel stood considering her options. I can't very well charge up the stairs and start shotting, she thought, hmmm... Then she remembered taking a grenade off the Flammer Raider. Adel smirked as she pulled it from her pack. She pulled the clip with her teeth.

Click.

Adel tossed it up the stairs.

Boooom.

Not as big as the first explosion but just as jarring.

Rifle at the ready she charged the stairs, slowing as she came to the top. Just as she thought. Trip Wire. She cut the wire swiftly, scowling at the rigged shotgun in the the bedroom directly across from the stairs. Adel accessed the top floor. Three bedrooms, possibly a bathroom. Stepping over the half smoldering body laying in the doorway of the room across from the stairs, training her rifle on the three other doors, she entered the room. The shotgun was attached to the bed which was occupied by a half rotted skeleton. Adel dismanted the shotgun and shot a round in the direction of the stairs. Might as well trick them into thinking their rig had killed her.

Adel stepped into the hallway careful to make as little noise as possible. She tip toad up to the next door. Before she could open the door to the second room the farthest door in the hallway creaked open. Adel ducked into the sunken in doorway for cover. The raider, a man with a spiky mohawk, stepped into the hallway with what looked like a hunting rifle raised.

"Come on out, sweets." Mohawk said in a cracking voice. "Its time to play."
