Emily Quartermaine was your typical teenager but was a member of the richest familes in all of Port Charles who was fighting with her family in order to be with a young guy who claimed that her friend Sonny Corinthos was his father. Little did she know that her attraction to Juan wouldn't last because of her long time crush on the one and only mob boss Michael "Sonny" Corinthos Jr.
Emily had left the mansion after yet again getting into another fight with her parents about being with Juan. She left and started walking and found herself down on the jetty docks on pier 52 sitting on the bench thinking about what to do about Juan and her crush on Sonny.
Sonny is at the warehouse making sure that she latest shipment went out on time when he finishes up and heads out walking along pier 52 and immediately notices his best friend's little sister on the docks late at night.
"Emily, is that you?"
Sonny asks as he walks down the steps towards the pier.
Emily turns towards the voice and blushes.
"Hey, Sonny. What brings you down here so late?"
Sonny returns her smile showing her his million dollar smile with his gorgeous dimples on display as he walks over and sits next to her.
"I was at the warehouse checking on a shipment when I noticed you sitting here. Is everything all right? How are things between you and Juan?"
Emily looks at him with a sad look on her face as tears fall.
"Everything is such a mess. My parents are still against me being with Juan. They blackmailed me into breaking up with him or else they'd send me to boarding school."
Sonny leans in and gently wipes away her tears with his thumbs all the while gently caressing her cheek softly.
"Hey, everything will be all right. If you want I can talk to them for you."
Emily smiles at him.
"That's all right. It won't work anyway. Juan, Lucky, Elizabeth and I went to a party and I guess he couldn't handle fighting with my parents anymore about being with me so he decided to cheat on me instead. I found him kissing another girl. What we had is over. And to be completely honest with you. I am happy about it because now I can follow my heart to the one and only man I have had real feelings for."
Sonny gently pulls her in for a hug when he feels electricity running through him as he holds her.
"I'm so sorry that he cheated on you. You deserve so much better. I promise you that someday you will find the right guy for you and when you do I meet him just make sure that he will treat you right. You my sweet angel deserve the best of everything."
Emily smiles at him as she leans her head against his shoulder at the same time he wraps his arms around her. A while later she pulls herself away so that she can look at him.
"Thank you so much, Sonny for everything. It really means a lot to me having you in my life. I honestly don't know what I'd do without you."
Sonny smiles at her as he leans in and kisses her cheek before he pulls away only long enough to stare into her eyes as he gently moves strands of her beautiful hair out of her eyes as he slowly leans in cupping his face with both hands before he slowly leans in capturing her soft lips in a sweet and tender kiss.
Emily is surprised yet very happy that this is happening as she returns the kiss as she wraps her arms around his neck deepening it as he wraps his arms around her wanting to taste more of her. They both continue kissing one another when they end the kiss as they stare into each other's eyes.
"Wow! Emily, I'm so sorry that I did that. It was a mistake." Sonny says to her.
Emily looks at him sadly.
"You might be sorry that it happened Sonny but I'm not. I have always wanted to know what it was to kiss you Sonny, I know that you don't feel anything more than friendship but I think that you have the right to know that........... I have a crush on you."
Sonny stares at her not at all surprised by her confession because deep down he has had a crush on her to for so long.
"Sweetheart, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that it was a mistake because I feel the same way about you. Emily, I have a crush on you too."
