Chapter 3

Both Emily and Juan watch as Carly and Sonny head towards Kelly's before they are finally out of ear shot.

Juan walks down the steps of the jetty docks and over to Emily.

"How long have you been cheating on me with Sonny?"

Emily looks at him in complete shock.

"Where did that come from?"

Juan looks at her as he walks towards her.

"Do you have feelings for Sonny?"

Emily looks at Juan.

"Yes, I do have feelings for Sonny. I always have. He and I go way back. He's always been there for me whenever I've needed him. I know that if I was ever in trouble that all I'd have to do is call him and he'd drop whatever he was doing to come and save me."

"I know. I couldn't believe it. When I was at the top of the stairs and I saw you kissing him and he was returning the kiss while he was holding you very protectively. Was tonight the first time or have you two been together ever since I left?"

Juan asks wanting to know.

Emily looks at him in shock and anger.

"You have no right to ask me that! After you broke up with me before you left to start your singing career."

Juan looks at her as he nods his head.

"Your right. Your right. I'm just worried about you. You and I both know that getting involved with him is only going to end badly. With him eventually going back to Carly and you're going to be left with a broken heart."

Emily looks at him in anger.

"NO! NO! Sonny and I love each other. He'd never do anything to deliberately hurt me. Unlike you! Now if you'll excuse me my boyfriend is waiting for me."

Juan looks at her in shock at what she has just said.

"You just said that you love him. Is that true? Are you really in love with him?"

Emily looks at Juan.

''YES! Yes, I am. I've always had feelings for Sonny. He and I have always been big parts of each other's lives way before you and Carly were ever in the picture. He and I have something that is very special and I am not going to give him up. Now if you'll excuse me Sonny is waiting for me.''

Juan clears his throat.

"How long have you two been seeing each other behind my back?"

Emily glares at him.

"How dare you accuse me of being unfaithful when you're the one who has been unfaithful when it comes to this relationship. I'm actually glad that it happened because it helped me see what was right in front of me this entire time."

Juan looks at her with a raised eyebrow.

"And what is that, Emily?"

Emily smiles at him.

"Sonny and I are meant to be together. Nothing and no one is going to keep us apart. Not even you and Carly."

Juan sighs before he replies back.

"Emily, come on? You can't be serious? You really have romantic feelings for Sonny?"
