Sweat is Sweet

Seamless it seemed when
The shoulder gave up fire
Panting in the hot sun
With that grubby attire.

The wind behind my ears howled
Your goal is not so far
Or I'll be crowned in your place
As it sensed the need of hour.

I gathered guts and stepped ahead
As the sun shone afore my eye
'Sweat is sweet' I mumbled to me
And regained the initial pry.

My feet blew some earth as smoke
I could sense me back to life
Crushing the tough asphalt below
I ripped the wind as knife.

' I'll Never let you be crowned',
I swore, as the wind had lost
That grubby cloth with radiance-
now, No reason to exhaust.

Just a few steps to victory
And a reflex smile on face
I embraced the ultimate goal
Life, I've won the race.
