i walked back to harry's house, his fingers entwined with mine as they swung slightly between us.

it was just after 5.30, and harry'd finished his daytime friday shift.

i smiled, realising he was now free for the weekend, "harry?"

"yeah?" he spoke softly.

"wh--"

"hello again." a familiar voice cut me off and i looked up, seeing the two gang members from earlier this week that harry'd let go stood in an alleyway.

i noticed the one that had spoken held a knife, his companion holding one too.

"hi." i fake smiled with a scoff, and harry squeezed my hand.

"can you run fast?" harry mumbled, leaning down to speak in my ear and i nodded in response.

"care to tell us what you're whispering about?" the guy smirked and i rolled my eyes.

harry discreetly let go of my hand, took a deep breath, and we were off, curses escaping the guys' lips behind us.

i found myself a few steps in front of harry, and i looked over my shoulder, the guy's a short way behind harry.

i made it to harry's block and ran through the automatic doors into the foyer, harry joining me as his hand slipped in mine, our breathing heavy as we walked to the elevator.

the guys had given up a short way before harry's block, realising there was cctv.

harry pulled me into a hug once we were inside of his apartment, his arms slipped around my waist as mine went to cuddle his neck.

he buried his face into my shoulder, and i slightly felt him smile against me.

"i'm sorry. i love you." he spoke after a minute of nothing but heavy breathing.

"i love you too." i comforted, and he didn't let go of me for a while.

"shit, but you can run fast." harry grinned, walking into the kitchen as i followed him and we grabbed bottles of water.

i nodded slightly, sitting down on the counter.

"are you okay?" harry asked softly, standing between my legs, resting his forehead on my own.

i nodded again, wrapping my arms around his neck and pressing a single kiss to his lips.
