This book was inspired by my family's trip to Virginia. There, we saw the famous Monticello. At the Monticello, we took a slavery tour to see what life was like for the slaves that were at Monticello. I enjoyed the tour and wanted to create a story that would express how some people treat blacks with disrespect. This story shows a little boy, Aiden, whose parents are taken away. Aiden is sad and hurts emotionally, he wants to save his parents. Along his journey, Aiden is more motivated to save his parents. He has countless dreams about his life with his parents, which causes him to realize that he needs to help them. After knowing that Aiden's parents would be killed in the five days, Aiden also realizes that the pressure is on.

In our entire world, it is sad to still see slavery happening. In parts of Africa, there are many slaves. This book is also a message that slavery is terrible and cruel, and is not meant to offend anyone. Thank you!
