E L I

I had been through numerous relationships. But then I promised myself I would never love again when my ex broke up with me in Valentine's Day.

To give me comfort, my friend, Martin called me up for a lunch in Gizmo, near my workplace. So I snuck out in the midst of the day and went to a restaurant a few blocks away. Don't worry, I asked permission from my 'boss', well not really boss, because he is just a messenger of my boss, who acts as my boss all the time because my boss is always out with his secretary in all his business meetings.

"Hey, Joe. Lunch. It's already 3:00 pm, I'm really hungry. Give me an hour break."

"Oh, got it."

Then I went to my friend at the said restaurant. Because I was rushing, I ran to the elevator. But to my surprise, there are many people waiting. So, I had no choice but to use the stairs, and went down from 32nd floor to the ground floor.

I quickly opened the door, but then before I could even reach the handle. A sign freaked me out once more. To my surprise, I reached the lower basement.

I ran back up and made sure that when I open a door, it is at the ground floor.

Finally! I reached the ground floor. Well, it is just that I am already excessively sweating, well because I ran all the way down from 32nd floor.

I wiped myself up before I walked out the building, to the restaurant. I ran to the nearest restaurant possible. Finally, I opened the door.

"Table for two please."

"Okay, Maam."

Then when they are done searching, I was offered a seat.

*Martin calling*

"Hey, Eli. Where ya now? I'm already waiting."

"Here at Gizmo City Resto. Where ya?"

"Here at North Gizmo Aristo."

"Huh? I don't work near there anymore, that's too far!"

"I thought you still work in North Gizmo."

"Well, that was before."

"Well, I think I should go there."

"No need. I will go there."

"No, I will. If I won't, I won't be such a gentleman."

"Do you still believe in those stereotypes. Ugh. Come on. It's the girl's initiative."

"I can do this. I can manage."

"Well, whether or not you will agree. I will go there. And besides, i heard you still have wounds from your accident. Maybe it will be best if I will go there."

"Well, you're really insisting. I cannot do anything about it."

"Okay, North Gizmo Aristo. I'll be there in a few minutes."

As I ended the call, and as soon as I saw a car being parked outside, I immediately called the waiter and said that I don't need the seat anymore.

I quickly rushed to the door. I am freaked out. I only have 40 minutes left before I go back to work.

But then as I pulled the door, the man pushed. Well, he's probably stronger, and he looked charming, dressed in fine clothes, good body. He is in short, my type. But then he's dumb. He pushed when it says pull. Ugh.

We continued to do so, he still does not know how to deal with the door, and I cannot bear his strength and I finally let go. But aggh, he hit me in the chest.

"How dare y-" Ugh. He's such a jerk.

"I'm sorry, Miss. I didn't mean to hit you." Oh really? I think you did that in purpose. Oh boy, so naughty.

"You didn't mean to hit me, but you hit me in the chest, and I think that is a form of an insult. Excuse me, sir. Have respect to women."

"I'M SORRY. OKAY?" He's mad huh.

"Why are you mad? Do you have the right to be mad?" Well, I'm correct, am I not?

"Hmmpff-", that was the last that he said before I left.

"Handsome, but without manners. Such a waste and nonsense." I whispered as I go out of the restaurant."

Well, I left a calling card. He's cute, but then he needs to learn manners.

I then continued my journey to North Gizmo Aristo. But as I went through and rode the cab, I can't stop thinking of him. Like you know, I thought it is just infatuation, but then, ugh. He struck me at my first sight. Love at first sight.

Well, even if he does not have manners, I think he knew that time he should control his ego. He's talking to a lady that time.

Huh. No Eli. You aren't falling for him, you aren't. Ugh.

I see him in every place. I see him even at the driver who drove the cab. I even mistakenly saw his face at the face of Martin. Agh. You're not yet falling in love. You promised yourself not to fall in love again. Eli, no, you will not love anymore.
