I was watching everything that's going on inside the conference room through the cameras i installed earlier.
My mission is to stop the conference and the people involved.
"Iris. The conference is starting are you sure you gave him the package?" I asked iris to confirm that the plan is going smoothly.
"Yes, Sir. I made sure that he would receive the package right on time before the conference" Iris confirmed my question and removed my doubts.
"I see, So everything is going according to plan." I said while waiting for the speaker to open the package.
Minutes flew by like hours.
Finally the time has come.
"Iris. Tell him to open the package now." I ordered iris.
"Yes, Sir. No problem." Iris replied.
"Before we start the conference i would like to thank everyone for taking the time to attend this meeting.
I know all of you are really busy since we technically are running the world secretly.
I would like everyone to check this package out."
The package exploded and it instantly killed the speaker and other officials were badly injured.
I could care less of all the casualties that my plan has made.
Death is necessary and I have no time to be sorry.
After the package exploded i waited for the perfect time to come in and get the real package.
You see i asked iris to switch the package because the real package contains a device so diabolical it can be used to clone people and use them to kill.
I can't let a device like that getting produced strictly for people who secretly run the world.
Not that i care about the people who waste their lives trying to fulfill this phenomenon called "Life"
It's just that it will bring chaos to everything.
I'm still not done trying to discover this "Outside world" that they were all talking about.
I was about to say mission accomplished but then there was another explosion.
It wasn't mine.
It wasn't included in my plan.
Someone else was also planning to sabotage the conference.
I was watching the whole thing
I saw everyone desperately trying to save their lives.
Running as fast as they could to get out.
I still need to get the real package.
I was about to enter the building but as soon as i stood up i noticed something.
It was eve.
I knew there was something weird about this girl.
I saw them cornered by the agents the officials has hire for protection.
At that time i thought that was the end for them.
But something strange happened.
Someone spoke on the radio.
I swear i hacked the radio so they won't be able to use it.
I know that voice.
I heard that voice before.
Could it be?
No. It can't be.
It can't be him.
I'm getting more interested in eve after seeing her kill every agent Single-handedly with a pen.
How can she execute something like that?
It seems that i may need to dig deeper in knowing everything about her.
More importantly, I need to find out who spoke on the radio when i clearly closed every connection related to the radio systems.
Things just got more interesting. I like it.
I went outside the van and waited for everyone to get out.
There was a huge commotion going on outside the building.
Reporters from the media are swarming the place along with paramedics trying to save everyone who got out.
I saw eve and the person she was with.
I stared intently at them so i could register the man's face in my mind.
He seemed to be wondering what i'm thinking as he was also staring at me while he carries eve and walking towards his car.
They got in and i waved them goodbye.
It was time to enter the building.
As soon as they left i entered the building to infiltrate it and get the device
Inside the building was the horrifying stench of burnt bodies of people who died because of the explosion.
It wasn't really new to me and i wasn't really shocked by it.
This is actually pretty normal compared to what I've been through.
Blood was everywhere so i had to be careful not to leave any traces of my presence inside this destroyed building.
I went to the room where the device was hidden.
It was gone.
Someone saw through my plans and came here first.
At that moment i knew i need to get more serious.
Someone seems to know my intentions before my plan even started.
Maybe it was him.
If it was him i need to step up my game and be one step ahead every time.
I can't let everything go to waste because of him.
I will not be beaten.
The outcome is inevitable.
I went back to the van in a hurry to tell iris about the situation.
"Iris someone got the device first" I said while catching my breath.
"How did that happen? Is it Him?" Iris asked.
"It might be. If it is. We need to be extra careful" I replied while getting on the driver's seat to get out the area.
I need to get the device back before they use it.
I drove out of the area tracking my escape route to get out of there without a trace.
When i arrived at my hideout.
I lied down and i blacked out.

"I really thought i was about to die. I was about to fall off.

I woke up after that.
That dream. . .
Every single time. . .
Why do i keep dreaming about that?
Who was that girl anyways?
She keeps on appearing in my dreams.
Is it just a figment of my imagination or did that moment really happen?
I can't think of this now.
I sat up on my bed.
BZZZ BZZ BZZ
"Sir. W-wake up we have a problem" Iris said.
I can sense her voice being delayed due to uncertainty of mind or fear.
"What is it iris?" I instantly asked.
"I need to get you off the grid immediately. This is a life and death situation." Iris replied with obvious fear in her voice.
What is happening?
