Strained.
My life is being stretched apart and limbs are
Tearing.
My body is popping and crackling.
Within me, I want to release the
Tension.
My tendons are an old rocking chair
Creaking with the weight of the past.
My body is a child’s skirt once
Twirled.
I can’t breathe.
I think
I am going
To
Snap.
Answer:
I think this one is generally easy. Imagine being on an old boat with big white sails and a huge mast. If you read it again after that image, you might come up with: A rope about to break.
