Chapter 30 {Leaving Soon}

Moriah's POV

I woke up and sat on the couch. I was blinded by my thoughts. It was a chilly, gloomy morning, but that didn't affect my my mind running wild.

I couldn't help but think about Brooklyn. I had just made my decision to go on tour. I am very excited but I don't know how Brooklyn will handle it.

Brooklyn and Evelyn have been inseparable since that night they can over, which has been about a week and a half. I also worry that she won't like being on tour so often.

Joel's POV

I woke up to no one by my side. Moriah must have gotten up. I got ready for the day and walked downstairs to see my beautiful wife on the couch. I sat down next to her but she didn't move a muscle. She must really be consumed by her thoughts again.

"Moriah... Moriah."

That got her attention. She looked at me with sad eyes.

"Good morning, Joel. I'm sorry, I'm just very distracted this morning."

"Is it Brooklyn?"

"Yes. I'm just scared she will be hurt. Maybe it was bad timing for her to meet Evelyn."

"But now she can stay in contact with her. It'll all work out, you just have to believe that God will pull through."

"I guess but I still worry about her."

"Don't guess. I'm going to make breakfast."

I got up and walked got the kitchen. Brooklyn should be getting up anytime now and I like to have it ready for her when she comes down.

We proceeded to eat breakfast together and plan out our day.

Brooklyn's POV

All during breakfast, we talked about what we would do that day, but mom looked tense which made me nervous. Then, once we were almost finished, mom changed the subject.

"So, Brooklyn, you know I just released my new album, right?"

"Yeah... why?"

"Well that means I'm going on tour very soon. Your dad will also be on tour so you'll have to come with one of us. "

I heard what mom said and got very excited for a few seconds but then I thought of the one thing I don't want to leave behind: Evelyn.

"What about Evelyn?"

"And that's what she was worried about. You guys can talk everyday and we'll visit as much as we can." Dad added in.

I was very disappointed but dad was right, I guess being able to text will make it easier. After that, we started discussing the tour.

~~~ 1 week later ~~~

Tonight is the night before we leave for the tour. I decided that I'll go with mom, but if we meet up with dad at all, I'll switch and go with them.

For the most part, I am done packing, so I decided to spend the night with Evelyn.

When I woke up, I saw Evelyn beside me and smiled that the ridiculous memories from last night; pillow fights, crying from movies, food fights, stalking pep on Instagram, and so much more. I am so lucky to have a friend like her.
