 Chapter 3                                                                                                                                               (Her P.O.V)

As I sit here thinking about the horrible part of my life like always, I almost forget what I'm doing. I'm hunting for my new family. Liam, Astra, Spencer, Alisha, Lukas, Tiana, Trent. Trent, the boy I have loved since we were little. The boy I never had the courage to tell my feelings to, until half of the world was dead. Yet now, after our love has been confessed, I feel different. Like maybe what I felt was wrong, but I keep going. Maybe it is just in my head like thirteen million other things. Maybe my feelings have really changed. I've seen each of us do something that seems inhuman, like the Walkers. Maybe that's why... But can I really tell him how I feel now? And there goes my mind again, wandering. It would make it I sigh and return to watching and listening. Nothing. Nothing but the sound of the wind. Then I see it. A rabbit hops, unknowingly of my awareness, from a bush. I put up my mini crossbow up to shoot but something else got to it first. I see an arrow fly past me, piercing the creature, and turn around to see Trent, smiling, holding his big crossbow, but I didn't smile back. I felt a hint of rage burn inside me.

"You know I could have gotten that all on my own!" I growl, angrily. His expression turns to a frown, and my heart, or what's left of it, breaks ever so slightly. I look down quickly and mutter, "S- sorry" I hear the scruffing of his feet across the ground, through the dry and colorful leaves, over to me. I wish I had the heart to tell him to go away. I look up into his hazel eyes and admire his chocolate brown skin and black hair. I all the sudden felt as helpless as a baby deer and I hated it. I hate feeling helpless. Maybe that's why my feelings are changing...

I quietly sigh as he gets close to me. He sets down the crossbow and slowly wraps his arms around me into a bear hug. I lean my head against him and I can hear his heartbeat against his chest. I close my eyes and the whole world seems to vanish. Reality becomes a dream and dreams become reality. All I feel is him. His hot breathe on my neck. His hand wrapped tightly around my torso. I slowly look up at him and our lips locked and I can taste him. He taste sweet... so sweet like candy, something I haven't had in six years... I think it might kill me... Oh, please let this end soon... My eyes open, bring me back to reality. and I just stare as his tongue finds it's way into my mouth so he can taste me. I wish someone would interrupt us...
"Girl, get your hands off my brother!" Trent and I pull away and we turn to see Liam in all his queer glory standing with his rifle cocked, smiling devilishly. Oh how I loved Liam so much right now! Maybe as much as his partner, Spencer, loved him! Well, he was my best friend so I guess I should love him. He continues with his gay voice, "Wait a moment, it seems like my brother here made the move. Oh no, no, no! Ris, darling, I'm so sorry!"

"Thanks bro for ruining it..." I hear Trent mutter, growling. I sigh getting up and pulling the trash bag out on my pocket, picking up the rabbit into the bag. Liam stares at Trent giving that 'Mmhmm, I stopped you from seducing her' look as he stared, growling. I knew I had to stop them before something bad happened.

"Well, boys we got breakfast, shouldn't we head back?" I say sternly, trying to break them up before they started to fight and become a beaker to the horde that we were there.
Liam quickly looks at me and smiles. "Why, yes, darling we should, shouldn't we?" He starting to sashay back towards the house. I glance at Trent.

"Sorry..." I just shook my head, sighing. He sighed too and look off in the opposite direction. "I'm going to check the perimeter and see if there's any walkers to be killed..." I nod and give him a brief kiss on the cheek.

"Come on dear!" Liam exclaimed, not looking back at us. I quickly head after Liam as Trent trudged the opposite way. I ran to catch up to him, the bag that contained the dead corpse of the rabbit still held tightly in my hand. I hope that the dead couldn't smell it. I silently walked beside Liam, thinking and heading off into my own little world. I don't know how long it was before I heard a scream of terror erupt from in front of me.
