Christy's POV:
I took my first step outside and braced myself.
"I know that this is not real, I know that this is not real, I know that this is not real..." I repeat in my head.
I heard a heart wrenching scream. I looked across the street and saw a little blond girl. Her eyes were closed, her fist were clenched at her sides, and she was screaming.
I ran up to her and put my hands on her shoulders.
"Sweetie, whats wrong? Were is your Mommy?"
She looked at me and my heart stopped.
Her eyes... they were pitch black.
"Better question is, where's your Mommy, Christina?" A horrifying voice said while staring straight into my wide eyes.
I immediatly released her and walked away.
"The demons will not get to me, the demons will not get to me, the demons will not get to me..." I kept saying.
They were all around, staring at me. Black eyes trying to break me apart. Trying to make me go insane. When I first got my ability to see, I was hysterical. I've always had good eye sight, but this is completely different. I had no idea what to do, so I went crazy. I mean, seeing demons isn't exactly normal. Us Humans don't know, but hundreds of years ago, Lucifer released the pets of hell. And they love feeding off the souls of mankind. The Murderers, Rapist, Thefts, etc. were basically dessert for the demons. They play with the heart of the person they latch to. They are Satan's workers.
No one knows what I am, everyone I ask think I'm psychotic. They tried to put me in a mental institution when I was 16. My Mom made up a lie, saying that we wanted our "fake" story to grab the attention of people, basically saying that we were hungry for fame.
"It was all bullshit." I remember hearing my Mom tell the doctor.
"I am repulsed by you people. Some teenagers actually have mental issues! This was a complete waste of time." The Doctor replied, looking at us with a disgusted stare.
I was almost at the park. I saw the trees and the people walking by. Children swung on the swing set. The sight relaxed me. The demons were still there, but I knew they would be fading shortly. It was actually a beautiful day. The sky is a vibrant blue.
My father loved the park. We would lay in the grass after school and eat curly fries from Arby's. He used to look up at the clouds and say, "Heavens up there." And he'd point at a random cloud.
"The Lord is watching you, he knows your special, Christina. Up there, there will be no darkness. Only sunshine, my little angel. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine..." he would sing sweet songs in my ear when I cuddled up to his side.
I walked across the grass until I reached a bench. I sat down and picked up my book.
