My Kinda Christmas

The Empty Bed

It was late in the middle of the night , Reba was laying in her bed fast asleep. Reba woke up because she , had an unsettling feeling in her stomach. Reba could tell something wasn't right. Reba walked down the hallway , and down the stairs to the kitchen. 

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary , the lights were off. Everything from dinner was put away , and the dishes were put away. Reba couldn't put her finger on it , Reba went back up stairs and went into the bathroom.

Once Reba was in the bathroom , she turned on the faucet and splashed water in her face. " Reba get a hold of yourself , everything is okay you're safe and sound , nothing is going to harm you".

Once Reba dried her face off , she realized that Shelby had gone to bed in the spare bedroom. Reba ran to the spare bedroom , and opened the door. Shelby was no where to be found , Reba knew Shelby wouldn't leave without telling her. Especially in the middle of the night , on the floor of the bedroom Reba found , Shelby's drivers license.
