"Where are they?? How is it that we can't see a single one of them?? We had better speed this up, Sarah, it won't be long before someone discovers us here." I whispered urgently to Sarah.
We had been walking in circles backstage trying to find the boys, avoiding big, muscular, intimidating security guards, but it was as if all 5 of them had all suddenly disappeared.
What if they already left the arena? Wouldn't we be searching for nothing, then? No. No, it couldn't be. Even their management wouldn't be able to get those 5 hyperactive monkeys out of the building so quickly. They HAD to be somewhere here, right?
"Hey you two! What exactly do you think you're doing, loitering around here? There is no backstage meet and greet session for fans today, which means the two of you are clearly not meant to be here. Turn around and face me. Now."
Shit. Why didn't I see this coming?? Oh wait, I did, I just had to ignore it and give in to the temptation, didn't I? Damn it.
"We're screwed." I muttered to Sarah, as we both slowly turned around to face our doom.
We were met with a rather tall middle aged lady, wearing a pair of nerdy circular glasses, and a huge headband that pushed her fringe up, such that it sprang up like spikes on a porcupine.
What really caught my eye, though, was the sunshine yellow blouse and sky blue skirt she was wearing. Was she colour blind?? Who wears yellow and blue?? And the red slippers?? What was with the bright colours??
Did that woman seriously think she was a kid?? For goodness sake, she looked like a rainbow threw up on her.
Plus, those colours definitely did NOT match the way her face looked: a frown on her forehead and lips in a thin, straight line. Dull. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if those features were permanent.
It was all I could do to keep myself from laughing.
Arms akimbo, the woman glared at us with those menacing eyes of hers and commanded:
"Follow me."
