The Dug-Up Past

"Hey, Millie." Luke said shyly, with me still paralysed in utter shock.

"Uh... uh.... erm.... h-hi," I stammered softly.

What on Earth was Luke doing here?? At a One Direction concert???

And as if he'd heard those thoughts of mine, Luke explained carefully, "Look, I know you've got a new boyfriend and all, but I just came here to find you to let you know that I still have fee-"

A put up a hand.

"Luke, please, stop. We were over 6 months ago, and I honestly don't think there's a chance of us ever getting back together, so please, just leave me alone, please. Thank you."

And without even waiting for Luke to reply, I walked off, as memories of how my relationship with Luke ended surfaced......

FLASHBACK BEGINS:

"Hey babe!" Luke greeted me with a warm smile, arm wrapping around my waist.

I grinned, and gave him a peck on the cheek."Hey."

"Lunch at Macs?"

"Do you really need to ask? Hell yeah!"

While most couples spend their anniversaries at posh, grand, expensive, restaurants, Luke and I chose to go to MacDonalds, for our one month anniversary.

It was, after all, the place we'd met.

                     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we'd finally reached the fast food restaurant, and gotten our food, Luke chose a booth in a quiet corner for us to sit in.
It wouldn't stay quiet for long, though, with us there.
"Please, take a seat, my lovely lady." Luke said with a perfectly fake British accent, pulling out a chair for me grandly, just as if we were in a high class restaurant.
Rolling my eyes and futilely trying to stifle a giggle, I took my seat, replying, "Oh many thanks, good sir.", in a very, very failed British accent.
We devoured our burgers hungrily, whilst feeding each other fries dipped in ridiculous amounts of chili sauce, and slurping Milo from the cup noisily to wash the spiciness down.
Plus choking on our food one too many times from laughter.
In fact, at one point, someone sitting near us got irritated and told us to 'shut up or get the hell out of there'.
Talk about rude.
Okay, maybe not.
Maybe, just maybe, we were too.
The moment we'd finished eating at we got up to leave, Luke let out a loud burp, inviting many death glares from... well, everyone in Macs.
Including me.
"Luke...." I groaned, face heating up with embarassment.
Luke gasped exaggeratedly,"Oh gosh, Millie! What was that? Ooooo nasty."
Rolling my eyes, I jabbed Luke in the sides, who immediately jumped away in shock.
Yep, he was ticklish there too.
"Come on, let's go," I mumbled, tugging Luke's hand, getting out the place as fast as I could.
Told you that place wouldn't stay quiet for long.
"Well, wasn't that fun." Luke said cheekily as he poked my cheeks, flashing me all sorts of hilarious faces, trying to make me smile.
Of course, I couldn't help but break into a smile.
