The snow crunches underneath Beau's shoes as he watches through the thick downpour over the vacant field. Beside him, Rosalie's bottom lip shakes, but nothing else reveals how afraid she is.

With their hands meeting together, their fingers interlock like they were made to. Rosalie looks up at him, blonde curls swishing across her cheekbones as she gazes into his eyes.

Beautiful molten gold stares back at him, and Beau gently cups her cheeks in his hands. He gazes back at her, trying to tell her everything he feels since words have seemed to fail him. Rosalie nods her head, understanding his unspoken words to her.

Edward and Bella grasping onto each other softly beside them, with Renesmee gently placed in between them. Her small body tightly woven into the places where Edward and Bella don't touch; showcasing that Renesmee had been the missing part of their story. An example of what unconditional love could make - a beautiful child.

Carlisle and Esme are after Bella and Edward, followed closely behind by Emmett and Tanya. Their friends are lined up behind them, with Garrett and Kate behind Rosalie and himself.

All of them waiting.

The sound of approaching footsteps makes Beau freeze. His entire body zoning in to where the Guard was weaving through the trees. Each of them dressed in matching black silk coats that dragged against the soft snowy ground.

"The red coats are coming, the red coats are coming," Garret mumbled, jumping up and down slightly, red eyes focused on the sea of black approaching.

There were hundreds. Line after line after line.

Demetri and Felix were the first real faces of power that stood out, making Beau shiver. Jane and Alec made an appearance soon after them, followed by Caius, Marcus, and Irina. Then, as the world seemed to stand still, Aro stepped in between his brothers and into Beau's line of vision.

Whispered softly so that only those closest could hear, Beau heard Edward say, "Aro's looking for Alice,"

At the mention of their lost family member, Beau felt Rosalie's body coil. As if she couldn't believe Aro would be looking for the smaller vampire in the first place.

Howls erupted from the distance, sending a chill down Beau's spine. Slowly, Beau heard the wolves emerge from the foliage behind them. Their snarls rippling throughout the stiff air before they were weaving their large bodies in between the vampires.

Jacob took his place beside Bella, his tan fur standing stark against the snow. A grumble came from Beau's left, causing him to turn his head.

Paul's dark wolf stared at him, it's eyes scanning Beau's face. Beau felt his mouth open, but no words came out. Seeming to understand what Beau was going to say, the dark wolf nodded it's head slightly in understanding at what his gesture meant.

Despite everything they'd been through together, Paul would still protect him.

Rosalie shared a glance with Paul, who simply turned away after a few moments of eye contact. However, Beau felt Rosalie's grip on his hand lesson as if an agreement had been made.

Turning to glance at the Guard, Beau watched as they flicked their hoods off in a synchronized motion. Hateful red eyes watching the wolves as they curved around the vampires.

Carlisle stepped forward, moving a few feet before stopping. "Aro, let's discuss things like we used to. In a civilized manner,"

"Fair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us," Aro spoke, and Beau shivered at the tone. That voice had spoken to him in the many nightmares he'd had as a human.

"I can promise you, that was never my intent," Carlisle said civilly, "No laws have been broken."

"We see the child. Do not treat us as fools," Caius snapped, a tiny snarl at the end of his words. His blonde hair swished around his cheekbones as he turned to glare menacingly at Renesmee.
