naruto pov

I sat leaning against the wall with my hands raised above my head straining to hold up the water dome after hours of travelling, i couldn't send wind chakra to the sails and the dome blocked all wind so we would have to wait for the currents to go away.

but after four hours of holding up this water dome i was tiring, i growled and stood noticing the wary and concerned look zoro sent me.

placing my hands next to each other above my head i brought them apart and down to my sides the dome parting as i did.

the tingling sensation up my arm was slightly burning again. and i went and stood at the front of the ship and pressed the sage mark onto the sunny figurehead. a white pulse occurred and suddenly all of the serpent currents bent in half as though they were bowing

miles of twisting columns of water bent over in a bow facing our ship was a sight to be held.

using my wind chakra i sped up the sunny pace it was currently 9;00 at night and all but me and zoro were inside. the ship was heading in the direction of the pull but was also going straight for a tower of water.

when we got within 200 meters of it however it bent out of shape allowing the ship to pass it. huh, this is strange.

we continued on for another 3 hours my body feeling the strain of using so much chakra so soon after the war.

it was midnight when the currents created towering circle around the ship, and at this i had to yell for zoro to drop the anchor while i was forcing chakra into the water around us attempting to stop the ship before it crashed into the serpent currents.

we slowed to a halt 5 meters away from certain doom and more chakra was used to bring the ship back into the middle of the circle.

i was swaying slightly from the exhaustion of using so much chakra in one day and i slumped down my back to the sunnys figure head and dropped into sleep.

I woke slightly to the feeling of being lifted, and fell back to sleep after i saw the green hair of the first mate.

zoro pov

this kid is seriously got to be the most powerful person on deck. but all he does is help out he doesn't fight or try to prove his strength like the asshole cook.

we have a weird sort of friendship, one where we don't need to use words to understand. naruto helps all day and i have yet to figure out the extent of his devil fruit, assuming he has one, how else can he have such powers.

how had this ridiculously powerful kid gotten into the condition we'd met him in?. and why was he always in so much mental pain.

i had caught him quite a few times frozen in misstep experiencing a flashback. something id have to get to the bottom of.

today though we sparred at least 4 miles from the ship on the water... what kind of devil fruit allows you to walk on the water?

and then it turns out he's pretty good with a sword as well, his single katana was unlike anything i'd ever seen before and looking at it with the "aura eye" as i'd take to calling it, i could see black patterns covering the blade.

i would have asked him later if he hadn't then blown my mind away by forcing the water to rise from the ocean in an even more impressive feat than when he'd arrived on the ship.

and when we'd returned to the ship i came face to face with another one of me... the thing touched my head and a cold feeling covered me and it suddenly exploded into smoke with the memories of what I'd done today on the ship returning.

obviously we hadn't even scratched the surface of what naruto was capable of, and suddenly i was very glad someone like him was there to help watch over luffy.

at dinner i actually saw him steal the fish off of luffys! plate, luffy stared at naruto for a while before he whispered something to luffy and luffy was suddenly nodding like it was the smartest thing he'd ever heard.

that was something else i'd have to ask naruto later.

then the mother of all storms began and that witch wanted me to fix it, why not ask naruto who could do it better than anyone else on deck?

and then she was going to raise my debt for telling her to ask naruto!

i smirked when naruto stood up and waited for that witch to eat her words, suddenly the dome from earlier today raised up and over the entire ship with nothing even rain touching the ship.

i could see how naruto kept his arms raised as he sat in a cross legged pose with his back to the wall of the ship.

I stayed outside to watch over naruto who was the only one who i was worried about, after four hour of watching him with one eye i saw his arms begin to shake.

and after around ten minutes he stood up, i could tell he was reaching his breaking point, and when he lowered the dome i was surprised to see that we were still in the middle of miles of serpent currents.

i growled under my breath and watched naruto carefully curious on what he would do this time.

when he walked to the front of the ship i admit i was surprised, especially when he only place the white hand onto the ship, using my aura eye i saw a white pulse leave his hand and travel for miles over the ocean.

and suddenly all of the serpent currents bowed to him, the hell is he the freaking prince of the sea or something?.

suddenly the ship jerked forward and sped up, i looked over and saw his normal hand raised in the direction of the sails.

i'd drifted into a light sleep for a while when i was woken by a panicked shout, "zoro get the anchor" and looking around i knew why. the currents had surrounded the ship and wouldn't move.

jumping up i dumped the anchor into the middle of the clearing hoping to help slow the ship down certain from the pained look on narutos face that he was forcing the ship to stop.

suddenly the ship began moving backwards in the water before coming to rest in the centre.

i looked around at the towering columns in awe none were even moving in the slightest and weren't going to for a long while.

turning around to look for naruto i found him passed out with his head resting against the sunny figure head.

sweat covering his forehead in exhaustion. i walked over and picked him up he'd helped enough for one night and placed him in the extra hammock the crew had set up today.

fast asleep. dumbass i muttered and shook ussopp awake, he can take over watch tonight.
