I waited for the train again, fixing my hair just right. Who knew that I'd actually care about my hair being perfect? Well now that I have a love interest, I have to focus on my appearance! I held my kendo stick tight and hoped the I would see him again. Today's the third day I might see Yami and I got lucky yesterday! I have to see him today!!
The train came by with its usual screeching noise and I got on. I sat down on a seat and waited patiently with my head looking down to the floor. I desperately wanted to look for him in the crows of people but that would make it awkward and embarrassing.....at least for me. I closed my eyes for a little bit to rest my head from all the walking I did. It wasn't too far to walk to the station. It's just that I've been getting sick from the weather. Once again, I hate winter. I let out a sneeze and sniffled a little. "Bless you, (y/n!)!" My eyes shot open and I turned to my left, where the voice was coming from. I blushed lightly when I saw Yami smiling at me. He always has a genuine smile.
"Thanks!" I smiled happily.
"Off to the dojo again?" he asked, looking at my kendo stick.
"Yup!" I grinned with determination. "I can't stop until I become as great as the masters." Yami laughed and ruffled my hair.
"I bet you'll get there," he smiled.
"Thanks!" I exclaimed, my blush getting a tiny bit darker. It was amazing how close we've gotten over the past few days. I could scream in happiness, but now wouldn't be the time. I noticed Yami was shuffling some cards in his hands. The cards were mostly brown and black with a yellow border on one side but the other side housed a ton of creatures and objects. I grew very curious and asked, "Is that the game you play?" He glanced at me and nodded.
"It's called Duel Monsters. You haven't heard of it?"
"I may have but I probably didn't remember the name," I admitted, rubbing the back of my head. "Can you teach me how to play?"
"You sure?" he said with a tiny smirk. "Sometimes people can't understand how to play.."
"Pleeeeease!" I begged. I didn't mean to beg but it looked too interesting for me to just pass up. Yami laughed at my apparent enthusiasm and began to teach me the game. I listened closely and was shocked on how complicating the game could be. But I was determined to learn so we both played the game on the train. We both laughed as we dueled because I wouldn't know what I was doing and he would help me every single time. It was the most fun I've ever had and sadly it came to an end when I got off the train. After I left the station, I decided that I'd go to a store after practice to buy a pack or two of cards. The game was so much fun and it was another way to get closer to Yami. I squealed to myself and ran to the dojo.
Another cute little chapter!!
