Shock shock

Mia's POV

I was actually quite surprised to see three other people together with my mum. I was about to greet them when I realised something was not right.

I literally gasped in shock when I realised what I was wearing.

I literally just embarassed myself infront of three people I barely knew. I ran into my room immediately once I registered everything.

I was wearing my onesie. A onesie with Mickey Mouse prints all over them to be exact. Judge me :) Great first impression huh?

After changing into something more 'suitable and appropiate', I went back downstairs slowly.

Nathan's POV

"Let's go meet our neighbours" my mum said.

I groaned silently because knowing my Mum, 'meeting' them means staying there for hours with some random stranger while I sit there awkwardly doing nothing.

I sighed and went into my room to get ready since I looked like a mess.

"Nathan!!" I heard my mum shouting at me for the millionth time from downstairs.

I ignored her and continued fixing my beanie and fringe.

"Nathan!!" her voice sounded frustrated.

Uh-oh. Shit.

I scrambled down the stairs to see a very pissed off Karen.

I turned red in embarassment. "Sorry.." I mumbled. Jess giggled slightly at my reaction.

As we were about to leave the house, a middle-aged woman walked up to us.

She started chatting with my mum and apparently Mrs Parker already knew my mum. She worked at the same place as my mum and also our next-door neighbour.

Coincidentally, she invited us to her house.

The door was opened when Mrs Parker was still fiddling with the keys.

I looked up to be met by a teenage girl wearing a onesie.

Hmm..she looks familar.

I realised that she was actually the girl that I had seen earlier in the day at school.

She looked at us with with a confused look as Mrs Parker invited us in. The confused look was replaced by a shocked look as she apparently realised something.

She rushed upstairs quickly.

A few minutes later, she came back down in a v-neck shirt and jeans.

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. She looked cute in that onesie.

Hours went by and me and Mia have gotten on well together.

Surprisingly we 'clicked' quite well together and managed to become

friends immediately.

When it was the time to go home, she looked sadly at me and said "bye nath" with a small wave. I gave her a hug in return. She flinched at my sudden act but hesitantly hugs me back.

I was slightly intrigued as to why she reacted that way but I had to leave. I gave another small wave and left their house.

The whole night I couldn't sleep. I couldn't get Mia out of my head. She was different from other girls. She was..special.

I couldn't wait to see her tomorrow.

Mia's POV

I was really happy to get to know Nathan. He was friendly and nice, not like the other people in my school.

However, could i trust him? That was a question I had to bear in mind.

For the first time after many nights, I didn't cry to sleep or cut myself. I went to sleep with a smile on my face. A very big grin in fact.
