I dryed my eyes and took a deep breath before walking through the front door. I went into the living room to find my brother playing with my beautiful little girl on the floor. He looked up at me as I walked over to them. I fourced a fake smile onto my face. "Hey princess." I said kissing her on the top of her head. My brother stood up. I looked at him. "Thank you for looking after her." "Anytime, how are you?" "How do you think I am?" He sighed. "Im so sorry." "Don't be. It's not like it was your fault." "I know but-" "But nothing. No one could of done anything to stop it heppening. Not even her... At least we got to say goodbye." He pulled me into a hug. "Be strong. Sam needs you." "I know." "Ill give you some space so you can talk to her. Ill be up stairs if you need me." He said patting me on the back before he left. I took a deep breath and sat down on the couch. I watched her play for a little while before she stopped and turned around to look at me. "Daddy, where's mummy?" I sighed and picked her up, sitting her on my knees. "... Mummy had to go away sweety..." "Why?" "Well what happned was me and mummy were in the back yard looking at the stars, when we realised one of the stars was shining a lot brighter then the other ones. Then we realised that it was coming closer to us, and then we realised that it wasn't a star. It was a lady dressed all in white, and she landed infront of us. And me and mummy were scared and confussed, because how ofted do flowting people land infront of you?" She giggled. "And the lady said don't be scared. I am a messanger from the moon." "The moon?" "Yes, she said that the moon had asked her to come to earth and tell mummy that the moon needed her to be a star." "A star?" "Yeah, a star." I started to tear up. "And I got sad because I love mummy a lot and I didn't want her to go, and mummy didn't want to go either because she loves me and you more than anything... but the lady said she had to go, and she had to go now. So me and mummy hugged each other very tightly, and we told each other how much we love each other, and she told me how much she loves you... before she took the lady's hand... and floted up to the moon, but before she went, she told me to give you a very importent message... She told me to tell you that... She loves you very much, and she's sorry she couldn't say goodbye to you, but she's going to miss you everyday, and she's gonna watch you grow up from the sky... But I promiss that im gonna take care of you ok." "Ok." "And she also said that I've to give you the biggest and tightest hug I can. So come here." I pulled her into a hug. "I love you daddy." "I love you to princess." We hugged for a long time before I let go of her. She looked out the window. "So mummy's a star now?" "Yes." "Can we go see her?" "Sure." I picked her up and took her outside. She started looking around. "Witch one is she?" "She's always the one that shines the brightest." She looked around again. "That one?" She asked pointing to one. "Yeah, that's her." "Hi mummy. I love you to." I smiled and kissed her head. "come on, it's cold. You can look at mummy through the window." "Ok." I took her back inside and sat her down by the window. She spent the whole night looking out of it untill she fell asleep.
