Wars that raged for over half a millennia has left the planet barely habitable. The fallout has changed the landscape. The earth cracked and burnt, the days were dark where the dust kicked up by thousands of bombs filled the air. Fire and plagues ravaged what was left and the world looked like hell had frozen over.  Millions died and were labeled collateral damage. Governments collapsed and reformed over the period, societies crumbled, power shifted so many times that its very definition was warped. The world was segregated into two halves- The Exemplars and The Destined.
Centuries later the land flourished and teemed with life, the earth healed itself now that technology was a thing of the past. The blood that was shed soaked into the earth and disappeared, the rivers flowed freely again, where there were once ashes, vestiges of life sprouted and grew, better prepared and adapted to war, the skies cleared and the stars were as bright as they were once before human intervention.
