Inside her head
She heard these voices.
To others they were just noises.
The voices controlled her,
The voices owned her.When she layed in bed,
The noises said
“Paint your arms red”.
“Paint your wrists and paint your thighs;
Paint your heart,
Cover it in lies”.
“Don't let the others know we're here.
They won't accept us,
They don't think we're real”.“Can't I at least tell my friends?” she asked.
So the voices covered her face with a mask.
She tried to take the mask off
But when did, she just felt lost.
Lost in a lot of truths and pains,
So the voices tied her up with chains.She tried to get out,
But just got more scars.
Next to the ones the paintings, left on her arms.She cried and screamed
‘Til the voices interfered.
There was only one thing left they could do;
The one they didn't want to.
They closed her eyes,
Sent her off to sleep.
“Don't worry, you won't feel a thing”.
And so she fell deep.
