What is a Demon? {MUST READ}

Demons are the dark force of this world, the result of Lucifer's fall from grace to be condemned to rule a lake of fire for the rest of eternity. Not much is known about these beings, however, what we know is listed below so if you ever come across such a beast, you will be ever so slightly prepared for what might happen.

A. The Creation

The first demon was once the most beautiful angel who worshipped at his Father's feet. But this angel felt pure love, and then felt bitterness when he saw how his Father loved the humans before the Angels. He tried to talk to the Almighty but was hasty, and caused his Father to throw him out of heaven as punishment, along with the other angels who fought by his side.

B. After the Fall

After this fall, Lucifer fell towards the earth. Most of the Angels which also fell did not survive but instead went insane from the contrast to the glory of heaven but seven did survive and in fact grew stronger from before, these seven are:

Lucifer: pride.Mammon: greed.Asmodeus: lust.Leviathan: envy.Beelzebub: gluttony.Satan: wrath.Belphegor: sloth.

Low-Level Demons: All Demons Have these powers

Demonic Possession - When possessing happened, the demons do not need a person's consent, they also can possess corpses also. When possessing a human, the Demon invades their muscles, bones and brains and can also access their host's memories while possessing them (even if it is a brief possession). The host usually dies after this.

Electromagnetic Interference:

Immortality - immune to diseases, with an arrested lifespan

Invulnerability - Injuries that would be fatal to humans, such as broken necks or gunshot wounds, have very little - if any - effect on demons

Super Stamina - Demons never tire, and do not require food, water, oxygen, or sleep to sustain themselves. Sam states that they also do not get hot or cold and Dean states they do not need to urinate.

Superhuman Strength - Demons possess superior physical strength compared to that of humans; capable of physically overpowering humans

Supernatural Perception - All Demons are able to see hidden supernatural activity and beings..

Supernatural Senses - All Demons have an enhanced sense of smell and taste.

Mid-Level Powers: Fewer demons have this powers

Biokinesis - Some demons can manipulate the biology of other beings. For example, was able to torture a human by causing him to haemorrhage.

Electrokinesis - manipulate electronic equipment to their will.

Invisibility - Some demons can become invisible to humans.

Pyrokinesis - Some demons can generate and manipulate fire.

Telepathy- some demons can read minds.

Spell Casting - Some demons can practice witchcraft, and some are very good at it.

Terrakinesis - Some demons can create small earthquakes

Weather Manipulation - Some demons are able to alter the weather to a limited extent such as creating sudden gusts of wind

Voice Mimicry- Able to mimic his original hosts voice

Telekinesis - Demons can move or suspend objects and other beings with their minds. Higher ranking demons can use this ability to pin their victims to walls or kill people by snapping their necks.

High-Level Powers: Only a limited few have these powers

Access to/from Hell - High ranking demons such can easily teleport themselves back and forth between Earth and Hell, without the need for any complex summoning ritual or assistance.

Dream Walking -. Entering and control the dreams of thier targets.

Memory Manipulation: High Level Demons can remove memories from humans by touching them.

Exorcism - forcing a demon out of its host and back to Hell by choking its vessel.

Demonic Smiting: some can even kill other demons

Animal Communication - The ability to talk to animals

Sedation - Demons with this power are able to people unconscious in the blink of an eye.

D Rankings of Demons

White-Eyed

White-eyed demons are considered the generals of demons. They're terrifyingly powerful and they rank the highest in the hierarchy of Hell, just under The Seven

Yellow-Eyed Demon

High Level Demons, just under the White eyed Demons. Some are leaders of the demon army

Knights of Hell

Knights of Hell are very powerful demons, said to be some of the first demons; handpicked by The Seven.

Black-Eyed

The most common and standard class of demons black-eyed demons possess only basic powers, such as super-strength and telekinesis

Red-Eyed

Red-eyed demons are one level higher than black-eyed demons, and have one powerful ability others do not, deal making. As crossroads demons, they make deals with humans, granting them one wish in exchange for their soul. In a period of time, normally ten years, a hellhound will be sent after the deal maker and drag them to Hell, where they will become a demon.
