Los Angeles will always be splendid to me.I've never written a novel with Los Angeles as the background.I can't ever write properly. Its like its missing am expect that is fundamental.I can write Paris and London, cities which I lived, but Los Angeles is just speechless in another level.
I am in a rather good mood those past days.Tom says it's starting to annoy him.I never really get impressed with a guy but the one I met in New York kind of brought a really good vibe to my life. After I met him I closed a new deal with my editor for two new books,I was asked to be a writer in a Shadowhunters (show which my dad is a director) and in the top of the icing my house in California is ready before due time.
I don't know what happened but everything that was going wrong,it's going right now.Its like he started a whole new nice chapter of the story of my life, the one after the stormy middle ones.
The reason I came to Los Angeles has name and a nice body.
Miss Courtney Eaton.
Courtney and I are childhood friends. When I moved out of Australia,we pinky promised to never lose touch.Childish,I am aware but she was eleven and I was thirteen. Most importantly, unlike some people,I always keep my promises.I guess it's a Mountbatten tradition I caught from my father.
So when she told me she was now a California resident living in Los Angeles with a guy named Ross who works as an actor and in an adult-teen band (I didn't even know that therm existed but alright).I had to see for myself. The cold hearted who promised no man would ever fool herself again fell in love.Courtney Eaton got wifed up.
Who would thought?
'So,who's this New York guy I keep listening about?' Courtney asks me.We are lunching somewhere in Venice.Place is kind hippie which makes it totally Courtney material.
'So,Tom told you.' I point out annoyed. My manager can't keep his mouth shut. That's as clear as black and white.
'A guy who spent a whole night with you just talking? The tale is unbelievable.' Courtney is clearly mocking me.Although I don't blame her.My reputation presides.I haven't had a serious relationship in two years.I haven't had a real date in ages as well.To be honest,I don't take men seriously.
'He was nice...uh,charming.He flirted, but was respectful. It was nice talking to him.' I have a bite of my food to avoid the topic.I don't like talking about stuff that I don't even have a clue about what's going on.I haven't spoken to Rocky in a while.
'Whatever,my money is on the fact that you're never calling this guy.You kiss and don't talk,Lyss.' Point well made as always,Ms.Eaton.
'Pun intended?' I'm being ironic to avoid the whole conversation and she knows it.She knows I won't speak away like this.
'Anyways...You kissed Ross.He was in New York with his brothers.' Courtney shines every time she mentions Ross.It is cute.
'Didn't really miss him.I don't know the dude.' Courtney is dating him for almost two years and I don't even know the dude.I have seen Courtney a dozen of times this past two years and somehow I've never met Ross.Somehow I feel like I know him very well for all Courtney and our friends that do know him tell me.
'There's a party.Actually more like a barbecue. Its on Sunday.Show up.I already told Ross you were coming so you have to come.' Courtney informs me.Ohh,nice.Finally!
