"You don't understand, I need to get on this flight." I said to the woman at the front desk. "Please?" The woman gave me a look and rolled her eyes.

"No. It's against the rules. Beat it. The next flight to New York is tomorrow." She said to me.

The next flight to New York was at 5:30am, and it was 5:30pm now. Since my house is about 2 hours away from the airport I just decided to make the best of my situation.

I didn't say anything back, and I sat myself in a chair at the airport. I was all alone. The reason I needed to go to New York was to visit my sister, who's husband had just left her after 8 years of marriage. She called me on the phone blubbering about how he ended things with her. Being the sister that I am, I dropped everything and drove to the airport.

After about 20 minutes of sitting on those uncomfortable black waiting chairs, I decided to get some coffee. I didn't have much luggage with me, which was a good thing. I didn't have much time to pack a lot of things anyway.

Making my way to the coffee shop, I decided to call my sister and let her know that I was going to be late.

"No! Sarah, just get on the f-flight." My sister, Jane, said in response to me saying I wasn't going to be on time. Jane was still bawling.

"Sorry, J. I'll be there tomorrow. Love you." I hung up the phone and proceeded to make my way to the coffee shop.

The lane was crazy long. Probably because it was around the holidays, and everyone was traveling one way or another. When I finally got to the front of the line, I ordered my drink.

"One regular coffee, please." I said to the worker.

"Here's your change." She mumbled.

I took my small bag and sat down to wait for my drink to come. A few minutes later, I heard someone call my name.

"Thank you." I said to the woman and left back to the terminal where I was before.

When I sat back down I decided to pull out my laptop and get some work done. I work a company called Hates Publishing. My job is mostly reading manuscripts and going on coffee runs when needed. I checked the time. It was 6:37pm. Did that much time pass already?

Suddenly, I heard a thick british accent that was coming from behind me. He was talking on the phone.

"Yes. No. I have to be there! Can't you just make my manager deal with this? The next flight to New York is in, like, 11 hours. Just- I- Okay! I'll get there as fast as I can. Bye." He hung up the phone. I wondered why he needed to be in New York so badly, but I wouldn't dare say anything. What is a british guy doing in Los Angeles anyway?

I think the man could tell I was eavesdropping because of what he said next.

"Sorry about that." He said. He was wearing a black hoodie and sunglasses.

"It's okay." I replied back.

I recognized his voice, but I couldn't remember where I had heard it before.

"I have one question though.." I said as I tuned to face the man. Sometimes I couldn't keep my mouth shut.

"Yes? What is it?" He whispered to me.

"Why are you dressed like that?" His face stiffened up and he got up to leave. As he was running away, his sunglasses fell off.

"You're Eddie Redmayne! You were in The Theory of Everything, The Danish Girl, and Hick! Wait. Don't you have a new movie coming out -" Eddie cut me off and put his hand over my mouth.

"Shhhh! I don't want to be recognized. Keep your voice down. Come on." He said as he pulled my arm to take me somewhere. "Okay, I'll do anything for you to not say anything. I'll sign something and I can give you tickets to my new movie or something."

As much as I wanted to scream, I didn't. I tried to act cool. Which didn't work.

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna say anything. I'm Sarah." I put my hand out for him to shake it. He hesitated at first, but he shook my hand anyway. "I'm actually going to New York, too." I smiled.

"You are? Why?" He said it in a tone like he was actually interested in what I had to say.

"My sisters being my sister. Also known as, her husband left and she's really upset." I said to him. "She called me and I just stopped what I was doing and dropped everything."

"That's so sweet." He said with a smile.

I don't know what it was, but Eddie was so charming.

"Well, she's my best friend." I replied.

Eddie was wearing a tight white v-neck with grey sweats. His hair was quite long, which made him look even cuter. It was messed up from being in the hoodie. We started into each other's eyes, until my phone broke our long stare apart.

"It's my friend, Raymond. I should probably take this." I said to Eddie and I then answered my phone.

"Hi, R." I said through the phone. "What's up?"

Raymond and I have known each other since 8th grade, when he moved from Nebraska I immediately became friends with him.

"Just wanted to say hi. Aren't you about to board your plane?" He asked, sounding concerned.

"Yeah, something was wrong with the plane so they rescheduled it until tomorrow morning." I said to Raymond over the phone.

Eddie kept staring at me throughout the whole phone call.

"Anyways, bye, R. See you soon." I said just before I hung up.

"Well, who was that?" Eddie said with his cute accent.

"My friend, Raymond. We've known each other for over 10 years now." I suddenly realized what I was doing. "Wait why am I telling you this? I don't even know you." I laughed.

"It's because I'm charming." Eddie said as he winked at me. "Also I'm a movie star." He smiled.

"Slow down. Tell me about yourself." I said. Little did I know that was the sentence that started it all.
