Part 4

He smiled at the teary-eyed Xinyi.  Then, at last, his eyes landed on mine.

He did something I didn't expect. His hand reached out between us; an offering. I watched my hand shake his, acting on its own. Maybe it would've been best to end it there. But watching the gleeful expression on Xin yi's face, I realized . . . I had to say something.

I turned to Xin yi. My lips pushed to the sides of my cheeks. I glanced at Qianxi, and back at her with the smile still intact. My eyes were blurred with tears. I hoped she thought they were happy tears. I was happy, truly-- but some other part of me was so, so, so very sad.

"Qianxi is very handsome, Xin yi." I said. Xin yi squinted at me. Then she started giggling.

She exclaimed between her giggles: "Jia'er. . . hehehehe. . . Qianxi is not my fiance--heheeeheheehehe!"

Almost as if some divine force in the sky had planned it, a young man burst into the room right after Xinyi's words. He was wearing white also.

"Sorry I'm late!" The young man looked at Xinyi (who had lost her mind completely at this moment), and afterwards, at me. When I couldn't formulate any story-- what came out of my mouth was only wobbler gob-- he grabbed Qianxi's shoulder. Pointing to the maniacally laughing Xinyi, he spat out a bunch of worrying words. It was cute, in a way. It was cute, how much he cared for Xinyi, despite the fact that she was . . .

Qianxi laughed again.

He pushed away the young man's protests, his black, brilliant orbs reflecting pure delight. The young man seemingly gave up. As he looked at Qianxi with betrayed eyes, he rushed to Xinyi's side, asking her if she was alright. And he trapped her in his arms until she calmed down and her laughs died off.

Once she stopped laughing completely, she hit him in the arm. I was struck speechless for a moment. She kept on hitting him. Repeatedly. And he ducked the last few as he had learned where her arm would land.

He smiled gleefully when she gave up.

She raised her hand to hit him again, to scare him, but his cowering look (arms wrapped around his head like a monkey, long legs bent to the ground, and. . . a disarming smile) stopped her. She huffed, pulled down her dress, and decided to rest on a chair nearby. Steam literally went out of her ears. Her arms crossed together hotly. Her upper teeth bit at her lower lip.

The young man hurried and crouched beside her. He tickled her. She laughed uncontrollably.

When she stopped laughing, the remnants of the laugh still stayed on her face. The twinkle stayed in her eyes. And at that moment, I knew it was safe to leave my best friend in his hands. No doubt, there was no other guy for Xinyi except him. Just by looking at the way he looks at her-- that soft sweetness in his stare-- I could tell. I would do anything for someone to look at me like that.

Finally, finally, they stood up and walked towards us from the chair.

Xinyi bounced over to us in her white wedding dress. Her arms were intertwined with his. He was smirking as she tugged at him hard in irregular intervals.

She stopped in front of Qianxi and I. "This is my boyfriend, Wang Junkai."

"Hey! But I am your husband to be~"

She giggled and stuck out her tongue out at him like a kindergartner. Over an instant, he suddenly pecked her on the cheek. Her cheeks reddened, but she hid it well.

-----Time Skip-----

"You may kiss the bride."

Xinyi and Junkai's lips brushed on the front stage of the Church. It was short at first. Xinyi meant to pull away after the first second, but Junkai pulled her back in with a gentle inward push of her back. His lips searched for hers once again. And they met.

The music started. The crowd began to rustle with noise, most standing up from their chairs to congratulate the pair. In the crowd I spotted Qianxi, talking with a few of some other guests. I joined them.

"Qianxi! How's it going living with your wife?" a nearby young man asked.

"Alright, alright," Qianxi answered, chuckling along with them.

"Wife?" I asked with a bit of confusion.

Another 25-year old or so young man got dragged out into the center. He seemed lost for a second, then his mouth tugged to the side. His eyes were very big and angular, almost like a girl's. "Wang Yuan! Long time no see!"

He-- Wang Yuan--  focused his eyes on me, and with the stupidest smile ever, he said: "I'm his wife, haha!"

I said the book was finished. I had this official author's note as an ending. Where am I now. Where am I now~

Sorry fellow readers! I think (yes) I was at another writer's block. And a long one at that. But I think I'm fine now after rereading 'Never Again' Come to think of it, it's not that bad. Not that bad. Not good enough, but not that bad. I decided to continue with this story.

It is, admittedly, too short. I think finishing it at Part 3 would be too evil of me (I am evil, but. . . .) If I don't finish this story to an end I'm happy with, almost every time I go on Wattpad, I will think about deleting it. So I decided to make Part 4. I think I will write up Part 5 soon. (I sincerely think)  And. . . it's 11:00 PM again. XD Where am I now~ Where am I now~

I really enjoyed writing this, so. . . yeah! I hope you like it!
