Tears and a lot of Pain

At the sound of the bell, our eyes shot open. We just stared at each other, and everything became really awkward. We both pulled away fast, realising what just happened. I mean, we just met. Everything is going really fast, and if there is something between us it will have to go slower than that. Cory stood up and held out his hand to help me up. I generously took it and smiled up at him. What a sweetheart. Nope, Maddie your doing it again. Stop falling for him. Your tougher than that. Control yourself. God, if Ella and Cara were hear right now, they would kill me. Then they would go all soppy, and would start saying how cute we were. Wait. Why am I still on the bed. Oh God I'm still holding his hand! Oh crap, he must think I'm such a freak. Can things get any more awkward? Yes. Yes Madelyn they can, because as you stood up you tripped over his foot, and now you lying in his arms. Isn't that just brilliant.

"Oh my God, Maddie." He started. "Are you okay?" He looked down at me, concern literally eating his eyes.

"Umm..." I faded into the world of dream again.

"Maddie."

"Hu, what, when. Oh right yeah." He brought me back up to my feet. "Cory, sorry about that, I haven't had a decent night sleep since I was taken 6 weeks ago." That wasn't an excuse. I was knackered.

"Haha, don't worry I felt the same when I first arrived." He laughed.

When he laughed, it was like a beautiful harmonic symphony. In other words, he was an angel in every way imaginable.

"That was the lunch bell. We better get going, otherwise we'll miss lunch. And you look like you need some food in your system."

We both went to walk out the door when suddenly he stopped, and pulled me back. "Almost forgot. You need to put your hair up in a bun. It's a part of your uniform."

"Oh right okay. I'll be 2 minutes."

I turned towards my bathroom and quickly went up to the mirror. I used the two hair bands I was given to put my waist long, wavy, brown hair up. There. It was a big change. A never put my hair in a bun. I look so sophisticated. I walked back into our room to meet Cory. When I entered the room, Cory just stopped and stare at me. Oh God. There's something on my face. Or maybe I grew another head. I'm pretty sure it's not the second one. Na, I'll find out.

"Is there something on my face?" I asked. I found it quite amusing, as he jumped out of his skin when I said it.

"N-no, it's just, you look so different." He stuttered.

"Is that a bad thing, or..."

"No, no," I was cut off by Cory. "You look beautiful." He said the last part with a smile on his face.

Now I was the one in shock. "B-beautiful. You think I'm beautiful." I asked in disbelief.

"Well, yeah."

"Really,"

"Yes, really." He laughed.

"No one's ever said that I'm beautiful before."

"Well" He said with a smirk. "You'd have to be pretty blind not to notice."

My cheeks went the darkest shade of pink there is. He thinks I'm beautiful. Someone actually thinks I'm beautiful. And that someone is hot.

"Cory, Wait up, I don't know where I'm going" I shouted while running out the door. He just laugh and carried on walking.

The meal was a decent sized dish that didn't taste that bad. I was expecting a lot worse. As I was eating my meal, I observed my surroundings. Everyone was dressed in the same clothes. The girls wore what I wore and the boys had to wear: light blue trousers, a white shirt that had to be tucked in, black shoes, and a blue bowtie.  Strange uniforms. Very strange.
