Not a Dude Ranch

"Wait for me!" I yelled to my best friends as we raced to the barn for our end of the year ride.

"Run faster!" yelled back Rain.

"Where are you girls going?" asked my dad as he came back into the yard after closing the gate to the north pasture.

"For a ride..."

"You girls may go for a ride after you bring up the horses for the clients who are coming."

"But dad! why can't they get their own horses! all they think this place is, is dude ranch run by a bunch of rednecks!"

"I realize how you feel and I feel the same but business is business and this is our lives."

"Fine..."

"That's my girl! now I want ALL of you girls to go get these horses, that means you two Mallory!"

I didn't even notice that Mallory was slowly inching away from us.

"Oh no you are going to help us!" i said

"Ok now I need you to bring in Bonnie, Clyde, The Fonz, Picasso, Mozart, Pharoh, Demon, Angel, Zeus, Peanut, Bruno, Alonce, Poseidon, and sugarfoot."

"Holy crap dad! how many people are coming this week?"

"Not just this week the whole summer."

"The whole summer!" Sutton yelled.

"The whole summer."

"Will there be boys..."

"There are actually 4 boys about your age this summer is actually a gift from their parents so they can have one last family summer before they go off to college. now you girls go get those horses in the front paddock and be ready to give our guests a...real... Texas welcome..."

"Really daddy!"

"Yes darlin' now go get those horses!"

As we all ran to get halters and lead ropes I could only think of one thing.

Ok people getting a little horse in here please feel free to comment of get anything wrong about anything technical because first of all I only WISH I lived in Texas and two I don't really ride western I'm more of an English girl myself so please tell me if I get something wrong!
