Tears prick my eyes as I outrun the van, I turn a corner and it keeps going I pray that it didnt see my turn. I run through the alleyway I see shadows but keep running my dog moves in closer and I start to pick up speed. I hide behind a large garbage bin and look at my phone:
Time: 8:45 Battery:100%
Then as I begin to put it back into my backpack a message pops onto the dark screen:
Mum: Where are you Honey its getting late and Lucy has to be fed.
Tears rush from my eyes. I fall to the ground in pain, Lucy (my dog) licks my tears and I bend into give her a hug. A waterfall of tears rush onto her furry coat she whimpers and nussels my cheek. I get up I need to get out of here before he finds me. I run out onto the streets its colder out here so I pull my hoodie over my dirty hair. There is a grassy feild just beyound it. I make it there without to many dramas. I run across the park and I see the van coming. All I can do now is to run.
