Still in this Hell Hole

Harley's POV

Thanks to the little sounds from the espresso machine, I don't have to be left alone with the nagging voices in my head. I still can't believe that Puddin' is gone. As in no more, na-dah, just gone.

*Ding!* The espresso machine pinged. Indicating that a fresh cup of coffee is done. I grabbed the cup and went back to my ratty cot. I can't believe they didn't even give us proper beds with nice mattress. We just saved the world for God's sake!

Now everything's silent again. I can read the book I managed to smuggle on the way back to Belle Reve after the fight at Midway City. But I already read and finished it more times than I can count.

"I miss you so much Puddin' It's no fun without you."

"Huh! That's the best thing that ever happened to you Harls! No more beatin' and screamin'." Said one voice.
"You must be crazier than you already are then. He's the best worst thing you had in your life Harls. Your Puddin' loves you so much! Sure, he can be rough sometimes, but that's just how he is." Said another. This one sounds more like her, and this one she agrees with. "Love? Hahahaha! He doesn't have any idea what love is! He never thinks about anyone but himself. He never thought about you. You are nothing but a toy to him. A possession that he can do anything with. He broke and abused you beyond repair. I'm so glad he's gone. You can have a fresh start." Said that annoying voice again. How dare she say those things to her Mistah J! "A fresh start? Huh! You're locked up in this damn black hole for life. How is that a fresh start? If Mistah J is still out there, he'll break us all out for sure. But no! He's dead. And I can't believe how you can be happy with that! We'll rot in here for good without him..." Said that very nice voice in her head again.

"Shut up both of ya!!! Stupid voices! Why can't ya get along for once huh? Ya makin' my head hurt." I shouted on the empty walls of my highly secured cell while clutching my head on the sides.

That's when Griggs walked in. I should have known they're watching me. This scum, I hated he's guts. He did help my Puddin' when he tried to bust me out of that stupid mission. But that's just because he's scared of him. Mistah J would have tortured his spawns and wife slowly and make him watch it if he didn't agree to his biddings. Hahahaha! That's my Puddin', always bringing the "fun" in "funeral".

"What's the matter princess?" He said with a sneer. "The meds are not making you any good, maybe I should request for a higher dosage." He added.

"Ya just wait Griggs. Once I come out of this stupid cell, I'll break ya to pieces and feed ya flesh to my babies!"

(A/N: Her babies, pertaining to Bud and Lou, her pet hyenas. :D)

He laughed so hard he would have fallen over if not for the hand that he kept in the cell bar.

"You? Break out of here? You really are in bad shape upstairs lady! Who's gonna break you out? The Joker? Oh, right...he's dead! He's probably rotting by now in some God-forsaken alley in Midway." He said with a stupid little smirk plastered on his face.

That does it! I see red, my bloodlust taking over. He has no right to speak like that about my Puddin', no one does!

"Arrrgh! Take it back! Take it back! How dare ya say those things about Mistah J!!!" I grabbed the hand he has on the cell bar and twisted it. He shouted and cried hard when I heard a bone snapped. Such beautiful sounds breaking bones make, a symphony to my ears.

More guards came in and pry him out of my grip.

"You crazy bitch! I'll make you regret this, watch me!!! No one will save you now!" He shouted while clutching his  severed hand.

"Listen to me ya nitwit," I said calmly "A normal man will do the impossible to save the woman he loves. And my husband is not a normal man." I said as a playful smile paints my face.
