Chapter 1- Madness at the barn

To begin their day, Roxy and Ryan decided on a trip to the barn. "Hurry up Ryan! I'll leave you behind!" Yelled Roxy impatiently. Ryan panted, clearly out of breath. "Rox-Rox!" A small voice called after them. It was Rosy. Rosy had recently taken her first steps and blurted out her first word- Rox-Rox. Roxy sped towards her and scooped her up. Rosy giggled, clutching Roxy's necklace. Ryan was still a meter away, even though Roxy was carrying a 10-month-old child. Advancing towards the barn, the children noticed a difference in the barn's appearance. Even Rosy looked unsure. "Lapis, Peridot?" Roxy tried. No answer. They moved on to the door. It was firmly shut. Ryan knocked with all his strength, and whimpered as he bruised his knuckles. Once again, no one replied. Little Rosy attempted to boot the door down- and succeeded! Ryan glared with envious eyes. "Even the baby is getting better than you, Ryan." Roxy teased.
"Oh yeah? Well I could do that but I didn't because... Because-"
"Because you fail at everything?" Ryan growled. The two 14 year olds and the little baby stepped into the reasonably-sized barn. A note lay on floor. It read, "Hey, Roxy, Ryan, Rosy or Riley- whoever comes for their Tuesday visit, we are going on a vacation to space. We will be back in about... 50 years? Something like that. Anyway, see you soon. We've always wanted to see Pluto. Sincerely, Lapis and Peridot." Then it was a competition to see who could freak out and scream the loudest. "WHY ARE THEY GOING TO SPACE?" Wailed Ryan. The only one not shrieking their head off was Roxy. She was talented in... Pretty much everything. "Guys, relax. I'll figure something out. I am good at that- unlike some people." Roxy stated calmly.
"OH YEAH? LIKE WHAT? HAVE A BIG TEA PARTY BECAUSE YOU KNOW HOW TO STAY CALM, HUH ROXY? BECAUSE YOU SEEM TO KNOW EVERYTHING IN THAT BIG HEAD OF YOUR-"
Roxy gently placed her hand over his mouth. "One, Ryan nobody said we had to have a giant tea party and two, my head is averagely sized and your head is half a centimetre larger than mine."  She reasoned sensibly. Ryan snarled like a furious baby hamster. All of a sudden they heard a booming noise...
