Chapter 2-The Ice Rink

"Why won't you come?" My friend whines at me.

"Because I don't like going to the mall to check guys out! It's completely useless," I say, firmly sticking with my opinion.

"You don't have to check them out! They have to check you out!" She says and winks at me. I roll my eyes at her comment.

"That never happens! If we go to do something else and someone happens to look at me or comes to talk to me, that's fine!"

"Okay then. We'll go ice skating."

"Fine!" I say and drag out the word.

The next day we get ready at my house after school and drive to the rink.

We arrive and pay for entry. The cold hits me as I step in the door. It feels nice in comparison to the oven outside. We walk to an open spot on the bleachers and start to put our skates on. Alya and I have our own skates since we go ice skating a lot. I finish putting on my skates and she tells me to go on without her. I follow her advice and keep an eye out for nice guys but I can't seem to find any.

After a short while, she joins me on the ice and we do a couple of tricks, such as the cross-over. The whole time we are skating I eyeball this one guy. He is tall and kind of beefy, with dark hair. He has his own skates and is kind of a showoff. The whole hour we are there he drifts between girls and I see him eyeing me a couple of times. I'm not flattered by his attention at all.

I leave Alya for a while and do a lap around the rink. After one lap I am going at full speed and see that same guy approaching me quickly. He and I lock gazes and I wait expectingly for him to turn out of my way but he never does.  Instead, he keeps going straight and smashes right into me. Grabbing my arms. I grab him as well and we spin around frantically. Once we stop I am surprised by the fact that we are still standing.

My hope however was short-lived. He grabs my elbows and shoves me down into a pool of water. After which he bends down and offers his hand, asking if I am okay.

I shove his hand away angrily and stand up. I skate away and lean against the railing, shaking some excess ice off of my pants. I hear someone stop in front of me and expect it to be Alya. When I look up, I was shocked!

It's a boy! He seems to be my age. He has blonde hair and light green eyes. He seems like a really chilled guy, yet slightly shy. He has an obviously naughty side to him though.

"Are you fine?" He asks as his gorgeous eyes stare into mine. I freeze for a split second until my brain registers that he is talking to me.

"Y-yeah. I'm, fine," I stutter. I want to slap myself for the stupid reply and look down. I can feel my face heating up.  I look down at my now-soaking pants and he follows my gaze.

"I saw how he threw you into the water. Idiot! One of the other officials will have a talk with him," he looks over his shoulder at the guy with a glare.

My superhero!

"Thank you so much!" I say almost out of breath.

"In the meantime, I have a pair of pants you could borrow." My jaw practically drops to the floor.

"Uhm...", is all I can manage to say. A girl wearing a guy's pants? A guy I don't even know! As if he read my mind he holds his hands out and says, "They're not mine! They're my sisters. She is also an official who works here."

I sigh in relief and reply, "That would be great thanks!"

Hey my readers! Hope you liked story nr. two! Is it just me or does it feel like it ended sort of abruptly? Tell me what you think and I'll make it longer ;)
