ROBIN'S POV-

Never would I have thought sneaking out in the middle of night was such a tedious job. You get to ensure your aunt is drifted off to her dreamland, not make a single sound but your shoes would beg to differ with their clacking against the floor and then comes the grand entrance of squeaky staircase. Jeez.

If, by any chance, You happen to stumble out of the house, your cell phone had to blare with the ringtone chosen with much love a day ago. At this time, I could hardly appreciate Adam Levine's voice.

Harry.

He is probably the last person I'd want to talk to. He gossips on and on till I doze off and right now, wasn't exactly the perfect time to listen how a girl committed a heinous crime of wearing her pink jacket with a red top or how he is seriously considering lip fillers.

I slid my fingers across the screen to the right and placed the cell phone in my coat. Winter chill was settling in, making my whole body shiver under the thick trench coat. I clutched it tighter, loving the warmth of my favourite outfit. I took a few quick steps and darted around the corner of the street, walking past few blocks to a lonesome camaro standing at other side of the road. Without any delay, I rushed into the passenger seat, getting rid of the heavy coat, in revealing a dress that Daisy got me.

The little black dress was..well too little for my liking and not having much of a back didn't help either. Something I have never worn before which made it even more uncomfortable.

But Like daisy says, We've got one life and what's the point in not overcoming your stupid fears and just live. Unfortunately, 'Just Living' was costing me my whole month's salary.

My gaze shifted down to my thighs as soon as I got seated, I cannot help but admire my progress. Those morning jogs were finally fetching me some great results, though I was nowhere near my goal weight but My thighs weren't as hideous as they used to be and my stomach has been shrinking lately. I was feeling something I'd never thought I would.

Beautiful.

I was feeling beautiful.

“Is it getting hot in here?” Daisy said, as she fanned herself dramatically. I laughed and punched her lightly. Her hand flew to my exposed thigh, and she winked before speeding off to my first night out. Illegal at that.

If anyone had told me a month ago that I'd be spending my whole night out in a little black dress, and spent all my workpay for it, I would have suspected of you being high or something. Well, that was until Daisy joined my workplace. The good 'ol Chinese restaurant we met.

I knew Daisy from school but we never talked. The extrovert pretty curly-haired brunette had enough charm to grab the attention of Savannah lane.

The Savannah Lane.

Well, no.

Savannah Lane just don't go for anyone or everyone unless they go old school and sing for you standing in your backyard. That's what Daisy did. She is really something.

It didn't take long for us to become friends considering her forward attitude and being coworkers. Yeah, even including that gentle rub on my thigh with the suggestive look in her eyes that I try to ignore. Honestly, I really admire her, for her confidence, for her not-give-a-fuck attitude and adventure loving personality. Brownie points for her great body and facial features.

Perfect package. If only, I rolled that way.

And I had a boyfriend. The jerk, Andrew Morgan. He hasn't called me since they left for that school camp thing.

Daisy pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, humming a tune, as she gripped the steering, taking a sharp turn to some street that had lines of beautiful mansions lined up. A cigarette was dangling in between her fingers. She blew in a deep drag and exhaled. Normally, I would have covered my face but having her around for so long, I just got used to it.

Even at times, I had the urge to try it out. Everyone does. Savannah, Daisy, Alec, So, I don't see what's really wrong. It's not like, one cigarette is going to give me cancer.

But I really didn't have the courage to just go ahead and buy those Virginia slims without Oliver giving me the look that says I am the biggest sinner in the house. I don't want to betray his trust in me and do something that wouldn't be fixed.

We pulled in front of a huge mansion and hopped out of the car. My anticipation soon dissipated, as we walked down the path. I tugged at the end of my dress, trying to keep me from falling with the heels. I was doing a pretty good job until my eyes locked with him. Trust me, I almost squealed like a fangirl when he waved at me.

Alec Baldwin was waving at me. Me.
