{Chapter 1} The Kingdom

{Chapter 1}

  I walk on the dirt path. The hot sun beams down on me as I walk. Sheesh is it hot out.. it feels like I'm near volcano
  I stop right where the dirt and stone path meets. I let out a deep breath, I look up and see in the distance of a kingdom and gates. Knight training begins as soon as I step through those gates... I shall be proud of protecting my king and queen.
  "Who are you.." one of the guards ask.
  "I am Felix, I'm coming to train to be a knight." I say bowing down.
  "Pfft... you must've not read the whole letter.. training is down there." He says through laughs as he points down the slope. My face turns red.
  "T-thanks.." I mumble as I walk down the steep slope.

  I open the doors to what looks like a house. The inside was spaced out and there were rooms upstairs and a kitchen but the main room had nothing in it.
  I look around and look at the back, there were targets, dummies and wooden bows. I walk upstairs and put my things down.
  After that I take a deep breath in which I regretted doing. The smell of sweat and b.o was in there.
  "Gah!" I plug my nose.
  "Hah, you and me the only ones.. I'm Helex." He says coming out of the wash room.
  "Felix.." I say softly. I shake his hand and change into my gear.
  "Come down now!" The trainer says. I run down stairs in my gear and stand next to Helex. I stand straight up and clench my hands.
  "Good your both here.. Helex and... Felix right?" The trainer says. I nod and so does Helex. "Good, we will practice with dodging today. Also you two can call me Fin." He says walking out the door and signaling for us to follow.
  I stand out in the beating sun. Damn this sun is so hot, and with this gear it makes it worse..

  I get inside and flop down on my bed sweating bullets. I flip around and sit up.
  "Was it hot out or what?!" I say through pants.
  "Yup, it was.. the gear made it worse..." Helex says flopping down on his bed next to mine.

  ~A year goes by~

  I walk out of the building next to Helex, my armor shining from the sun, sun bounced off my sword.
  "Looks like we're officially Knights Helex." I say lightly jabbing him
  "Yup." He replies giving me a swift glare.
