Chapter 16~Sometimes life isn't fair

~Your P.O.V~

I could almost laugh,

Hazzard in my pocket, I quickly made my way out of Adrien's house before I was forcefully removed, most likely ending with me being hurt in some way, which I wasn't really looking forward to as my arm was just about healed but still fragile, as in the skin could rip once again with only a slight grasp,

I had left Alex there, most likely to go back and collect her after the moon had risen, it wasn't long before I heard frantic footsteps behind me, quickly coming my way,

I turned around, a small smile on my lips as I saw Adrien quickly running towards me, only a few feet away as he attemted to reach me, he soon stopped and lent over slightly, taking deep breaths, I lifted a hand to his head and ruffled his hair playfully as he continued to attempt to catch his breath before turning to me,

"I'm not letting you go back to that shack at the end of the street," I left out a slight laugh before removing my hand from his soft hair, "Don't be silly...where else am I to go?" He thougt for a minute before giving me a suggestion that made me uncomfertable beyound all reason,

As the words left his mouth I felt my heart stop for a brief moment, I could feel a cold sweat begin to fall from my arms and forehead, "Why don't you go to your parents house?" My blood began to run cold, a dark shadow covered my eyes, I raised my hand and slapped him across the head, "Say that again...I dare you,"

Adrien had fallen to the ground from the slap, multiple people stared as an uncomfertable aura surround the area, I could hear multiple whispers around me, Adrien was on the ground clutching his head, a small amount of blood leaking from the wound,

I could hear the small, unaudible whispers around me, every single one made me angerier, I couldn't, my teeth clenched, if I heard one more quiet whisper I would lose it, and then there was one,

'Is she a monster?'

And I screamed, I let out the loudest sound I had in years, I screamed out all my fustrations that had built up, I even felt a salty tear roll down my face, I then looked at Adrien, he lay on the stone pavement, shocked that I could make such a noise,

I felt a few more tears fall, I looked around once more, people stood there shocked, I grabbed my head, balling my hair into fists, tightly clutching my eyes shut before running off down the street, no idea what to do with myself,

I soon found a secluded area and hide, I sat down, not sure if I was still sane or not, rocking back and forth, Hazzard soon flew out of my breast pocket, a worried look across her face, "I didn't know you could make a sound that loud," she came over and sat on my shoulder, softly patting the side of my head,"I-I had to cover my ears!" she attempted to use humor to make me feel better,

"I've never seen you so annoyed, it's like it all came loose," I didn't say anything, I then heard Hazzard's voice become shaky,"Remember when I first met you? You were so nice back then...you laughed and smiled, got along with your parents...Sometimes I wished you never properly learned to use Artica, then you never would have become like this..."

Hazzard snuggled into my neck, crying as I did as well,"I'm not going to tell you everything is going to be alright, I know you hate it when I do that...so I'll just cry with you for now, if that's okay?" I nodded as a few more tears slipped dow my cheeks,

And so, Hazzard and I cried for a few hours, it felt nice, I hadn't cried in almost two years and I was afraid to go back to my parents, I was also scared to go to school tomorrow,

But y'know what kept me going?

The fact that it could be a lot worse, that I probably wouldn't make it to tomorrow if Hazzard wasn't here, and so I kept going, I'd be at school tomorrow no matter what condition I was in,
