The Bad Thing

The rest of the day went by for Mark. He had Minx and Krism in a few of his other classes, but he couldn't focus on any of it. Mark was more than excited when the bell rang for it to leave the school. He was having a fun time chatting with Minx and the others, but was so tired that he was just ready to go home.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow" Mark said with a quirky smile.

"Bye Mark" Krism said giving out a peace sign, acting a bit less shy than when the two had first met.

Mark turned to Cry after saying bye to everyone, but the only thing Cry did was give a small wave while looking the other way as he got to his bus.

Mark shrugged it off and went outside to wait for his ride while everyone else got on their buses.

It had been about 5 minutes since everyone left, and Mark was playing some little app on his phone when he heard faint yelling in the background. Mark turned back to his phone, pretending he hadn't heard the noise till out of nowhere Jack came out from the back of the school.

"Oh hey Mark, what are you doing here after school? Jack asked calmly

"I'd ask the same thing" Mark said jokingly. The two laughed at the comeback as Jack sat down next to Mark.

"Whatcha doing in your phone?" Jack asked as he leaned closer to Mark.

Mark blushed a little but continued with the conversation.

"Just playing some stupid app game I found" Mark said as he showed Jack his phone of a matching game with colors and bugs of all sorts fighting off black slugs.

"Really, I would of thought you would be watching a YouTube video or something" Jack said a bit shocked.

"YouTube?" Mark said, curious as to what it was

"Yeah, its this new website, you can post any video you'd like, and watch ones from other creators, I would try and make some videos of my own, but I just don't think i'd be cut out for it" Jack shrugged as he continued on. 
"It's really cool though, here let me show you" before Sean could continue talking however, he snached Mark's phone from out of his hand and hid the phone from Mark's view.

"Hey! I was about to beat the level!" Mark whinned.

"There's always another day" Jack said snickering to himself.

"What are you even doing on my phone?" Mark questioned, his face getting a little red.

"Ah don't worry, I'm just downloading the app for you Sean lied, continuing to scroll through Mark's pictures and conversations.
He held back his laughter and he scrolled throughout, he knew that some of these pictures on Mark's phone would make for great blackmail. Sean scrolled throughout his conversations, screenshotting hundreds of time to send to his phone, he didn't care if Mark saw that the pictures were sent to his phone, because even when they would be spread throughout the school, Mark would eventually figure out it was him, but Jack didn't need him for anything else, so him getting upset was the least of his worries. As he continued scrolling through however, he caught one conversation that caught his eye from recently.

Mark: It doesn't matter how nice I am, I'm just a pathetic fucking loser to him

Amy: I'm sure he doesn't think that though, just cause you're the new kid doesn't mean you can't strike up a conversation

Mark: Yeah right, i'm sure he only talked to me for a second out of pity and nothing else, so the teacher would actually think he's a good student, I don't even get why I like him in the first place

Amy: Who even is this guy anyway? I never got a name

Mark: Jack....

Amy: Ugh, Jack Mcglothlin? That kids bad news, good luck with trying to get the good side of that asshole, though I doubt he even has one

Mark: I'll ttyl-

Jack squeezed Mark's phone against his hands, he was used to being called shit before in his life multiple times, but something about this situation made his stomach twist. He handed back Mark's phone, Sean's eyes not making contact with his.

"Where's the app?" Mark said in a confused tone.

"It um, didn't have enough storage" Jack lied yet again.

"Oh well thanks for trying at least Jack" Mark said with a gleaming voice

Jack looked up to see his car and mother waiting for him. He walked over giving a wave to his mom, then back to Mark.

"The names Sean, actually" Jack said as hopped into the car.
