The Concessions

~Chapter 3~

:RE-CAP:

My second period, Science, is one of my favorite classes. Not only am I good at it but I love my teacher, Mrs.Armstrong. When I got there everyone was in their seats, There was only one seat left which was in the back next to Austin. Well shit.

:Scarlett's POV:

I started toward the seat in the back totally disregarding the disgusting comments from Austin's friends. Some like 'Have some fun with concessions boy last night?'or 'I always knew you were a slut.'. Well that one hurt. As I neared closer and closer to the back of the classroom my nerves grew worse.

"Hello there sweetheart." Austin whispered in my ear as I sat down next to him. My heart was beating so fast right now. Not out of love, but out of fear. Whenever Austin is mad he always gets revenge. The one good thing about this seat is that Val is sitting on the other side. Thank God or I think I might've lost my mind.

"Alright class, today and all throughout the week we will be taking notes on how the Earth formed," Mrs. Armstrong said. Ugh. I mentally groaned. One thing I didn't mention is that I hate going over how stuff formed. That shit is boring. I mean how am I going to use this in the fucking future?

As I was writing down what Mrs. Armstrong had on the board I felt a hand going up my thigh and immediately slapping the hand off. I turned to a smirking Austin. That son of a bitch. When I turned back straight in my desk I noticed that Val was laughing her ass off at me. How did we ever become friends?

I didn't notice the bell had rung until everybody around me was packing up their stuff. Thank you. As Val and I were walking out I felt a hand grab my arm making me collide with his chest. "What the fuck?!" I screamed and then looked up. Of fucking course. "Austin, what could you possibly want?"

"I just wanted to chat." he said while narrowing his eyes at Valerie signaling her to leave.

"Now, why would possibly I want to 'chat' with you?" I retorted. Pulling my arm out of his grasp and stalking back toward the door.

•LUNCH•

It was finally lunch and I was starving, considering I haven't eaten since like 7 this morning.

Valerie and her boyfriend, Nathan, Brooke and I were walking to the cafeteria when I saw Niall walk through the front doors of the school. What the hell is he doing here!? So I quickly scrambled into the cafeteria getting weird looks from Brooke and Valerie. I got in line to pick up my food, which today happens to be from Chick-fil-A. I got my food and went to sit down at the back of the cafeteria when I bumped into someone, very muscular might I add. I didn't dare look up scared I would meet the eyes of Austin.

"U-uh sorry." I quietly whispered. Why did I stutter? Oh god.

"S'alright love." An awfully familiar accent said. I looked up and saw Niall. "Oh hey Scar. It's alright I call you that right? I hope so because I like it."

"Yea you can call me that, I guess. Uhm I didn't know you went to Harris High." I said to Niall, not daring to look at his mesmerizing blue eyes. What did I just say?! Oh goodness, I think I'm loosing it. 

 "Yea I just transferred here from Larkin High in Manchester." He said while trying to get me to look him in the eyes. 

 "Well I better get back to my friends." I told him.

"Alright." He sighed "I guess I'll see you around, then?" 

"Yea yea sure." I said quickly trying to get back to my friends before they spot .him and tell him to sit with us.

"SCAR! Where are you?!" Brooke literally screamed at the top of her lungs. SHIT. "Oh there youare with Niall? VAL I FOUND HER!" She yelled. "Niall why don't you come and sit with us?" Brooke asked Niall while I gave her the 'What the fuck are you doing' look. 

"Niall you don't have to." I quickly butted in.

"No it's no problem at all. I really don't have any friends here anyways so its alright." Niall said 

"U-uh okay." I sighed as I walked to the back of the cafeteria where Brooke, Valerie, Nathan, and I usually sit. I walked up and quickly introduced them. "Niall, you know Brooke and Val, but this is Nathan, Valerie's boyfriend." He quickly nodded and sat down right next to me. I had Brooke on one side and Niall on the other, but Brooke would occasionally scoot closer my way so that I would have to be closer to Niall. Bitch.

While we were eating Austin walked up and being the asshole he is, he pushed Niall over and sat between us. "So who's this?" He said while gesturing over to Niall. 

"You have no right to know." I said back to him, giving him a harsh glare.

"And why's that sweetheart? He's the one that you were banging while I was watching the movie waiting for MY GIRLFRIEND to come back." Austin said back giving me an equal glare. 

"First off, I WAS NOT BANGING HIM! He was being nice after I walked into the theatre and YOU had YOUR tongue down that slut's face! I wasn't the one banging someone else. YOU ARE!" I spat in his face and stood up to walk out before he grabbed my arm and pulled me down. 

"Sweetheart-" Austin started before I cut him off.

"Don't you dare call me sweetheart. Now go over to your slut party, they're waiting for you." I yelled before storming off. As I was walking down the hall ,with tears falling freely, I felt someone grab my arm and out of instinct, thinking it was Austin, I slapped him. "WHAT DID I TELL-" I looked up and saw Niall. "I'm so sor-" 

"No need to apologize I shouldn't have walked up behind you and grabbed you like that, knowing that HE had done that to you. I'm sorry. I would've beat his arse if I weren't brand new here." He said, while looking into my eyes with concern. He wiped away the tears falling down my face. "You shouln't be crying over a douche like him, Scar. He doesn't deserve you. Nor does he deserve your tears." He was blushing now, as was I.

  "You are so sweet. Did you know that? I haven't known you for longer than a day and you already can calm me down. You should feel special because the only people that can do that are Brooke and Val" I said while looking into his eyes, I now was smiling widely not even thinking about what had just transpired in the cafeteria. Before I knew it his face, at least I thought was nearing my face. No this is too soon. I quickly turned away saying, "I really should get to Math. Lunch is over now anyways." His face looked hurt but he quickly covered it with a smile. 

"A-Alright. My class is on the other side of school so I should get going too." He said before walking off.
