Prologue
"Ahhhhhhh!!!!" Screams filled the uncomfortablely crouded hospital room, a mother diying in the moments of her twin daughters births, gasping in agonising pain as she looks down the last and first time at her new born twins, smiling a painful glance at her girls she whispers her last words
"nika and niki, my beautiful neko daughters.....Goodbye" silence broke, leaving a grieving father, husband to observe his new born girls as they purred loud. Eyes twitching as his thoughts escaped his mouth "Why the hell do they have different coloured ears!!" Looking at the confused doctor for any sort of explanation.
Still silence throughout the hospital room. Shrugging his shoulders he finally spoke "Maybe its from the experiments you and your wife did"
Chapter 1
SLAP!!!! Falling to the ground with a hard thud, nika looked wearily up at the man she called father. A red mark forming on her already bruised cheek.
"You stupid, weak neko. Your mother would be dishonered if you and your damned sister were never born!" He yelled, pointing at the girl who wore a sinister grin and chuckling.
"Geez old man, never heard that before" The bolder twin said, loud enough for only the two other people could hear. No one else in our clan could hear us, being in the main house that was made just to keep us in and no one seeing the abominations that we apparently were. Chuckling to herself sinisterly, niki stepped towards the man who claimed to be our father.
"I thought I told you to never lay a hand on her old man." Niki said menacingly, smirking at the man before her.
We, as in Niki and I (nika), are 7. We are the heirs to the Hankari clan but only do a few people within the clan know of our existence. After our birth, the man that claims to be our father was shamed that our mother died because of us, not producing a son and because we are neko's with different coloured ears. He used to say that when we were younger, that it was our fault that she died. At age 5 Niki and I started teaching ourselves defensive posses.
Forcing my body off the ground, I placed my hand on Niki's shoulder, indicating for us to leave the room, niki scratched the back of my white ear, making me purr softy. 'I think its time for us to leave the village' Niki said telepathically, nodding in agreement but questioned 'but where would accept us? And what if they just use us?'
Smiling over to me and scratching behind my ear again but speaking "I've heard of one that has a jinchuuriki that has whiskers." I gasped, not believing what my twin had said. 'We will leave in a few days, after the forcasted snow storm blows over' Niki thoughts spilled over mine.
As we got ready for the evening, an uneasy feeling washed over the both of us. Niki moving herself in front on me protectively, ready for what ever was going to break down the door.
'Get the bag' Niki Thought quietly to me, nodding I grabbed the packed bag from under the bed, packed for 3 days of food water and clean clothes. Hearing the screams of people outside and through the halls, I rushed back to Niki's side, cligging tightly to her arm. Squeezing my hand, Niki dragged us out of the screaming Hankari clan compound.
"You naughty naughty girls, running away from home are we?" A chilling voice cooed, sending shivers down both the twins spines. "Why don't you join me? I could train you and help control your powers?" The spine chilling voice continued, a snake like hand reached out towards us.
"What's your name and intention" Niki growled darkly at the snake like man, a dark but protective aura surrounds Niki, tightening her grip around my hand.
"Orochimaru, and you naughty girls have been in my line of vision for quite some time. But you both are still so weak for me to use you yet......We will meet again in the future however" The spine chilling voice faded back into the darkness.
"We have to leave now" niki whispered darkly, still unsure if Orochimaru had really left...
Hours had passed before we left our hiding place, running through snow and thick Forrest before we reached our destination, the gates of Kohona.
