"We can't go out tonight" mum says while washing the dishes, i start drying the dishes and putting them away "Mum, we have to go out! Its my best friends birthday!" Mum turns to me and says "Honey, we need to talk" she grabs my hand and takes me into the living room, we both sit down on the sofa, she grabs both my hands and holds them in hers "Promise me you will behave, not just for this evening, i mean forever. Be a good girl for me, will you?" she says with a said look on her face "Yes mum, i promise ill be good" i say impatiently "I wont be able to come home tomorrow" she says looking down at our intertwined hands "What? mum what abou-" she interrupts you "I am very sick" she says with a tear rolling down her flushed cheeks

I jerk awake from the dream, tears on my face, cheeks horribly red. I stand up in my cell, the chains around my hands are chafing and are making my wrists bleed. I stretch out my black dragon wings and curl my scaled tale around my left leg, i hear the guard walk past my cell, i see him pass my cell bars and he stops and looks in. He smirks, the obese security guard is easily convinced "Hey" he smiles at you "Hey, babe" he says as he presses his face against the bars "Oi! don't call her that, you filthy scum" i hear someone yell from a different cell, i smile at him "Go on, go talk to him" he listens to me and walks away, i kick down the door with ease, he turns to me and pulls out the shock collar control board.

The guy who yells bursts out of his cell, the guard grabs his radio "Two subjects have broken out of the high guarded cells, send back up immediately" he yells "Mate, they aren't coming down 'ere" the guy says with an Australian accent, "Sir, i'd like you to step away. Now, otherwise ill kill her" he points at me, i nod at the guy "I don't think you can" he says, the guard turns the voltage to high and shocks me, i don't react, the guard looks worried "Listen, take it from someone who is knew here, outside isn't somewhere you want to be. Not because your what you are, the outside isnt the same" i straighten my arm out in front of me, i open my fist and look him straight in the eyes "I'll give you one chance to give me the keys to the cells" he laughs in my face, slapping my hand "Princess, what can you do? your a lab experiment, your nothing important you idiot" i clench my fist shut and the guards eyes burst and he starts bleeding from his ears and his nose, he collapses to the floor "Well done" the guy says, stepping over the dead man to get closer to me "The names Ajax" he holds out his hand for me to shake "Valorie" i say shaking his hand.

(Outside world)

"Hello residents of our wonderful city. We are currently experiencing a red alert, this isn't a drill. We need you to lock all your doors and windows and stay indoors, there is no need to panic folks. If you follow these basic rules we should all be fine" the intercom projects across the whole city. Everything is chaos, the whole city is in panic and everyone is looting shops and stealing from others.

sprinting back into her house and locking everything "i have you covered" she says, i drop from the ceiling and land perfectly "Pitch black souls step out of hiding" i yell, it echoing through the house. 17 black figures appear, all surrounding me in a circle facing inwards towards me, "go look around at the chaos, see who is out there and protect the worthy" i say dismissing them with a have of the hand, they all vanish on the command. "Valorie, people without magic will get scared if they know who really escaped" she says walking up to me and grabbing my shoulders, spinning me around so my back faces her. she places custom made metal plates on the bone structure of the wing, and laces the ending claws with metal claws "They have been told its harmless and there from the top level of the asylum, your the bottom. As soon as someone catches on, the news will spread like an infection, do your biddings secretly and hidden" she says, stepping back and checking the plating "Looks good" she says with an approving thumbs up.

"Ok, everyone listen up" Ajax broadcasts over the whole asylum "Val, the dragon person in cell a 13456, experiment splicing, person number 1. Has escaped into the outside world and is contacting our fellow outsiders, we need everyone to stay calm and listen. We're just keeping you in your cells until She can confirm its safe for everyone to escape with her. We will have a meeting with the leaders of each section soon, thanks everyone for listening, over and out *Click of the microphone turning off then the broadcasting ends*" Ajax switches off all the speakers and heads to the room for the meeting.

"Thank you all for coming" Ajax says to the leaders "Please say your name, age, danger level, cell number and what experiment was done on your" he sits down on the chair at the front of the half circle of other chairs with the various leaders sitting in them. One leader stands "My name is Marley, i am 30 years old. I am from the first floor, the slightly harmful floor. My cell number is d 124, i was injected with poisons and radiation and i have an abnormal mutation that allows me to be resistant to all radiation, poisons, toxins and everything else like that" Marley sits down, the person next to her stands up "My name is Dan, i am 23 years old. I am from the fourth floor, the very dangerous level, my cell is c 340. I control all elements and have ability to control or read minds, experiments done on me i do not know, i just get tested for my weaknesses" Dan sits down.

Someone from the other side of the semi-circle stands "H-hey. i-i am S-s-Salem, I a-am 16. I-i am from th-the insane level, i don't h-have any ab-abilities. B-but i c-can contact g-g-ghosts with m-my mind" she sits down shakily, "She didn't say her cell number" Dan points out, boastfully "That's because the insane level only has one cell" Marley says looking at him disgusted, One by one everyone else introduces them self. One leader didn't show up at the gathering, Ajax didnt pick up on it..

(Outside world)

"I can't believe he didn't realise. He is the most important of them all and he let him slip out.. you have to teleport to him" She says, looking at me over her shoulder. "You know i can only teleport so many times before it hurts me too bad... and he, he can kill me with one swipe" i say making various gestures with my hands "Yes but you can kill him too, your both as equal as each other power-wise" i roll my eyes and chuck my head back "Uuuggggghhhhh, fine!" i look back at her "You owe me something, money. 100 dollars when i get back. please"

I walk into the bathroom, i pull my short curly hair back into a bun and a few pieces of hair fall out the front. I grab my two pistols and strap them to my waste, sharpen my dagger and hide it in the sole of my shoe and grab my hoodie. I shove ammunition into the pockets of it, the pockets on the inside and i say my, what could be my final, goodbyes and head out the door. i shove the key into my top and i kneel down, say the code words and vanish with a flash.
